When did you first start watching Supernatural? 2014

How did you get involved in the fandom that is the #SPNfamily? Started with Misha and gishwhes... I watched the show, but wasn't in fandom until I started looking into gishwhes... then I fell into the rabbit hole of everything fandom.

Who are your favourite characters? Castiel. Charlie. Jody. and recently Father Lucca

What is your favourite episode/season? can't pick. but I watch Changing Channels, French Mistake, and Fan Fiction repeatedly.

What is your fandom superpower? I'm not totally sure what this means... but I guess I'm kind of just chill. Chill fandom members are important in such a big family like #SPNFamily.

If you have been to an SPN con before, what is your favourite memory? How do you pick one? I guess a unique one would be my meet and greet with Shoshannah Stern followed by my photo op where I cosplayed as Eileen. She was so excited to see it!

What does the #SPNfamily mean to you? Look, big families are messy. Not everyone gets along all of the time. But it means finding your people within that big family. Knowing who to turn to for different reasons. It means finding your support. It means drama exists but we don't have to engage. It means friendship. It means family. It can't mean just one thing and that's the most important thing it means.

Are you up to date on this season? If so, what are your thoughts? Yes. Love it. Just like with every season, it's not perfect, but I love the way that they are able to keep the story going and keep it feeling fresh.

Are you involved in any other fandoms? If so, what? Involved in? Dan and Phil. Wynonna Earp. Enjoy from the periphery? Jane the Virgin, Crazy Ex-Girlfriend, Dirk Gently In and out of fandom? Doctor Who, Sherlock, Orphan Black

What does the #SPNfamily mean to you? That I've found my people.

Are you up to date on this season? If so, what are your thoughts? I think there could have been more focus on the AU than there has been so far. I would also like to see more about Ketch and his current motivations as don't believe he'd team up with a demon without an ulterior motive.

Are you involved in any other fandoms? If so, what? No, just this one.

When did you first start watching Supernatural? 2017 Summer.

How did you get involved in the fandom that is the #SPNfamily? After I watched all 12 seasons twice, I decided to look for pictures, stories and news abot the thirteenth season, and I realized what a massive fandom SPNfamily is. Then I decided to develop theories about Supernatural lore and discussed things with other fans on several social media platforms. I watched a lot of convention videos, and seeing beautiful fan stories on Twitter made me realize how many people with kind hearts this fandom has. Which made me want to ange more people.

Who are your favourite characters? Dean is my favorite character, hands down. And Charlie. I especially love their sibling-like relationship, which reminds me of my own friends I guess.

What is your favourite episode/season? Naming one episode as favorite is hard. So I'll say S5 was my favorite. But honestly, I love almost all the episodes, especially themed ones like Monster Movie and Time After Time.

What is your fandom superpower? Research and development. I love looking through wiki pages and trying to come up with cool theories.

If you have been to an SPN con before, what is your favourite memory? I haven't been to a convention, sadly. But I watched a lot of videos (thank you, dedicated youtubers) and SNS is always the best part for me, especially when Jensen Ackles sings. While I like his singing, I love fans' enthusiasm as well.

What does the #SPNfamily mean to you? It's amazing that so many people with different personalities come to like the same show and support each other when needed. I have never seen such a thing. There's always someone to talk to if you want.

Are you up to date on this season? If so, what are your thoughts? I am. Loving it. A lot of storylines has been introduced. Normally, I would be worried, but the writers have done a good job to tie up loose ends in the last seasons, and I'm optimistic about the plot of the rest of the season.

Are you involved in any other fandoms? If so, what? I'm also somewhat active in Harry Potter and Worm fandoms.

When did you first start watching Supernatural? When Season 10 was over

How did you get involved in the fandom that is the #SPNfamily? I started to talk to other people on Twitter when season 13 started

Who are your favourite characters? Sam and Gabriel will be the death of me

What is your favourite episode/season? My favorite episode is "Changing Channels" and my favorite season would be 8

What does the #SPNfamily mean to you? A lot. There are always people to talk with who understand me and it makes me unbelievable happy to talk to other members. It's a place where I can just be me without getting judged for it.

Are you up to date on this season? If so, what are your thoughts? I love Jack so much and the alternate universes too even though I would like to see other ones where not everything is bad. I was also really excited for the "Wayward Sister" pilot and hope it gets picked up. Gabriel is also back which makes me love this season even more.

Are you involved in any other fandoms? If so, what? I wouldn't say I am really involved in other fandoms even though I love shows such as "Shadowhunters" and "Doctor who"

How did you get involved in the fandom that is the #SPNfamily? Found FB groups and that Cons existed

Who are your favourite characters? Dean, Demon Dean, Chuck, Charlie, Sam, Bobby, Gabriel

What is your favourite episode/season? Episode: The End. Season:4&5

If you have been to an SPN con before, what is your favourite memory? Photo Ops with Jensen and Louden Swain, and when the band was signing autographs, I had them sign my op with them and they all remarked that was a cool idea! (Of course I made the necessary purchases to get the autographs😉)

What does the #SPNfamily mean to you? Acceptance

Are you up to date on this season? If so, what are your thoughts? Yes I am. I am loving this season after being disappointed with aspects of S12. Love the introduction of Jack.

Are you involved in any other fandoms? If so, what? No

When did you first start watching Supernatural? The pilot.

How did you get involved in the fandom that is the #SPNfamily? I started watching YouTube videos of cons. Misha Collins con videos were a great joy for me in a dark time. Joined twitter.

Who are your favourite characters? My first love was Dean. Then, the angel burst through the barn door.

What is your favourite episode/season? Hmm, I still lean toward Swan Song. I just thing Kripke did an awesome job with that. Season five is my favorite season.

What is your fandom superpower? My humor?

If you have been to an SPN con before, what is your favourite memory? Haven't, would love to.

What does the #SPNfamily mean to you? That's not a term I use anymore. It willingly includes people who say denigrating things about Misha. I am part of the fandom. I feel like I have a place here, you know? Here in the Cas/Misha corner, and I have many Destiel friends. While I am not a shipper, it is there. The writers put it there. Hell, I didn't even ship Mulder & Scully, but it was there! Still is. It's just nice to be a part of something. One of my very best friends I met because of this fandom.

Are you up to date on this season? If so, what are your thoughts? I am. I'm digging it! Scooby Doo Doo! Love the AU's. Who on earth will be inhabiting our Dean?

Are you involved in any other fandoms? If so, what? I consider myself a part of many fandoms. Walking Dead, Game of Thrones, Z Nation, Doctor Who, I Zombie, too many to name. But, none of them can compare to the SPN fandom.

How did you get involved in the fandom that is the #SPNfamily? I am sure once I started watching and posting about SPN, something for a group came up in my timeline. I joined that group and the rest is history.

Who are your favourite characters? Gabriel and Castiel. If I had to pick between Sam and Dean, it would be Sam. Although Dean and I are pretty much the same person.

What is your favourite episode/season? My favorite Season is 5. My favorite episode is The Man Who Would be King

What is your fandom superpower? I try to bring light and sparkle and kindness to everyone I meet!

If you have been to an SPN con before, what is your favourite memory? Meeting Richard Speight, Jr. the first time. After my photo op, I was so out of it that I rode the elevator three times and still had no idea where I was going. Also, I have been on #Dickchat twice! (Minneapolis and New Orleans) That was a MAJOR hightlight!!!

What does the #SPNfamily mean to you? It is about doing good in the world, while bonding over a common thread.

Are you up to date on this season? If so, what are your thoughts? Yes, I love this season so far. I am afraid though that we are nearing the end of the show. If not this season, I think next season will be the last. Still hoping and praying they pick up Wayward Sisters.

Are you involved in any other fandoms? If so, what? I am on the fringe of the Doctor Who fandom. Not nearly as obsessed as I am with the Supernatural fandom, but there doesn't seem to be the charitable causes to get behind in that fandom like runs rampant through the #SPNFamily.

What does the #SPNfamily mean to you? Besides the obvious "Family" it means a sense of belonging. It makes me want to communicate to the world that pop culture studies is more than just fun. It's a way to study society through a different venue. It means that I feel that I am never alone in conventions, even though I'm surrounded by strangers. It means I'll always have a friend nearby.

Are you up to date on this season? If so, what are your thoughts? Due to hurricane Irma and Maria I still haven't been able to watch the series. I cannot wait though.

Who are your favourite characters? Sam & Dean

What is your favourite episode/season? Swan Song/ S5 & S8

What is your fandom superpower? I’m good at putting off other things to make time for Supernatural.

If you have been to an SPN con before, what is your favourite memory? At the last con I attended my brother & I had our first ever J2M photo & just asked them to smoosh us. Jared took it very literally & proceeded to squeeze both of us with such force I couldn’t move or breathe. You could even see it in his face, all the effort he was putting in. Misha & Jensen we’re just like very pretty, unsquished bookends on either side of us. It was so noticeable that Jensen even asked us, in autos of said photo, if Jared squeezed too hard. Of course, I said no. Death by Padahug seems like a good way to go. It’s one of my favorite photos ever.

What does the #SPNfamily mean to you? Being accepted for being obsessive.

Are you up to date on this season? If so, what are your thoughts? I am up to date on the current season & am still loving it. I often hear complaints from people about the story going to hell (no pun intended), but I just don’t feel that. It still feels like Supernatural to me, even after all these years & the revolving door of showrunners. I attribute that to the commitment of the cast, crew & writers who work on the show. You can feel that they all care about the show, so it makes you keep caring. To be fair, I could just be so invested that I can’t look objectively . But I honestly still love it. I am so in endeared to J&J & with their portrayals of Sam & Dean that I am invested & will follow until the very end, no matter how many sharks may be jumped. I just love it & it means so much to me that I’m not going anywhere.

Are you involved in any other fandoms? If so, what? Doctor Who, Sherlock, Marvel, Harry Potter. Though not nearly as involved as with SPN.

How did you get involved in the fandom that is the #SPNfamily? You all adopted me after appearing on the show. It was like a tsunami of love.

Who are your favourite characters? Well, mine, because I got to be a part of two very memorable episodes, work with incredible directors, Kim Manners and Richard Speight Jr, and of course, the boys, because I got to work with them in both episodes and they have the ability to make me laugh and cry in the same episode.

What is your favourite episode/season? "Just My Imagination." Season 11 Episode 8. It was great to be a part of an episode that the fans really embraced.

What is your fandom superpower? Love! My superpower grows from the love I receive so I can return super love back to all of you!

If you have been to an SPN con before, what is your favourite memory? All of the hugs, you all are amazing huggers.

What does the #SPNfamily mean to you? I appreciate so much the love and support you all have shown me over the years, to be welcomed into such a warm, funny, talented, and downright friggin' amazing group of people means the world to me, you all are the unicorns of all fandoms!

Are you up to date on this season? If so, what are your thoughts? I am not, I am behind on all my shows...damn my schedule!!!

When did you first start watching Supernatural? I was there from day one. I’ve always liked horror, scary stuff, and supernatural things. So I was intrigued just by the title of this new show even though I didn’t know what it was going to be about. I loved it at the beginning and still do.

How did you get involved in the fandom that is the #SPNfamily? don’t know how involved I am in the family. I’ve been to 4 conventions. My first was Burbank in 2012. It’s great being in that environment with like-minded people.

Who are your favourite characters? In no particular order... Bobby, Lucifer, and Garth.

What is your favourite episode/season? Season 5 is my favorite overall season. But my all time favorite episode is “Don’t Call Me Shurley”.

What is your fandom superpower? Probably being old. I’m definitely not your typical fan. As a man in my 50’s, when I walk around a convention people think I must be there with my kids. But being old, I get some of the references in the show that are callbacks to the 1970s and 80s. Like I always wonder if the younger viewers know where the title “The French Mistake” comes from and why it’s significant to that particular episode.

If you have been to an SPN con before, what is your favourite memory? My wife and I had been to 3 cons by ourselves. But then in 2016, we invited our good friend to come with us. She’s also a huge fan of the show but had never been to a con. So my favorite memory is seeing the whole con through her eyes and watching her have such a great time.

What does the #SPNfamily mean to you? It means giving. I’ve never seen such a caring group of people. Besides donating to charities. The people who offer space in their hotel rooms. People who have sandwiches at their seats for anyone who didn’t get a chance to eat. The people who are willing to help strangers with whatever they may need. Just really caring people. You never feel alone in this family.

Are you up to date on this season? If so, what are your thoughts? Yes, I’m caught up. I’m not really thrilled with the whole multiverse plot line. But I really like Jack and I’m curious to see where that’s going to go. Especially when Jack and Lucifer meet.

Are you involved in any other fandoms? If so, what? A long, long time ago (1980 something) I once went to a convention for the TV show “The Honeymooners”. Does that count? I told you I was old.

When did you first start watching Supernatural? I have been watching since the first episode aired over here. The Scottish Highlands is replete with folklore and superstitions about the supernatural and I studied & trained to be a ethnologist/folkloric. It was that aspect which attracted me. But what kept me hooked was the characters, storytelling and use of classic rock (sometimes inspired, such as "Bad Company" when we discover Meg is not all she seems in Scarecrow, or "O, Death" when we're first introduced to Death himself). It's one of those rare programmes where all the elements come together.

How did you get involved in the fandom that is the #SPNfamily? I initially became aware of the fandom about a year and a half ago. I was attempting one of the kindness challenges of Random Acts and posting to Twitter. A few people from the #SPNFamily followed me and I followed back. And that was kind of it... until my mum was in hospital. I was feeling very low and others in the #SPNFamily responded, trying to cheer me up. It was quite an overwhelming experience, to receive so much support and kindness from complete strangers.

Who are your favourite characters? I generally like most characters. Obviously the main characters - I wouldn't have watched Supernatural all these years if not. But, I have to admit, I've always quite liked the demons - Azazel, Meg, Alastair, Cain, Abaddon and, of course, Crowley. I like characters with a dark side, not worn down by it but embracing it. I've loved Rowena from her first appearance, and I think it's great that she has evolved as a character, though I love the ambiguity of her loyalties and motives. And Death. His first appearance is probably the best of any character in Supernatural.

What is your favourite episode/season? Where to begin?! I love the monster-of-the-week episodes. They can often be more scary, as they tend to play into our deep, dark fears (ghosts, witches, clowns...) more than the epic battle between Heaven and Hell. But, that being said, if I were to choose, it would be On The Head of a Pin. Or Abandon All Hope, when the boys meet Crowley for the first time. Or Yellow Fever... I could be here for a while. It's hard to pick a favourite season. It's easier to say which ones aren't. I'm not overly fond of Season 7, with the leviathans. I didn't find them scary or interesting.

What does the #SPNfamily mean to you? Like most families, there's fighting, which can be infuriating. But the #SPNFamily also has such a capacity for love and kindness, often towards people they don't know, and an endless enthusiasm to want to make the world a better place.

Are you up to date on this season? If so, what are your thoughts? I'm not. It's not started airing here yet. Usually, I manage to find other ways to keep up with what's happening. At the moment, though, I just don't have the time, with work and caring for my dad. I am looking forward to watching it eventually.

Are you involved in any other fandoms? If so, what? No, I find it hard enough to make time for just this one. But I am a fan of sci-fi and fantasy. I love Doctor Who.

When did you first start watching Supernatural? around September 2016. it's not that long but it feels way longer!

How did you get involved in the fandom that is the #SPNfamily? I just googled a bit about Supernatural and kind of fell into the tumblr hole :)

Who are your favourite characters? Team Free Will all the way! And Jack. And Kevin. I love a lot of them actually.

Are you up to date on this season? If so, what are your thoughts? Yep. I loved the first part, I LOVED Wayward Sisters, and although I think things were a little weird during the last few episodes I'm glad TFW is back together and things are finally going together!

How did you get involved in the fandom that is the #SPNfamily? When I first started to watch Cons on YouTube a couple years ago, then Facebook, then finally Twitter August 2017

Who are your favourite characters? Sam Winchester is my heart & soul, but LOVE them ALL

What is your favourite episode/season? If I'm absolutely FORCED to answer... probably a 3 way tie between "Sacrifice", "Baby" and "Regarding Dean" As for season I will always say the most current season. Because that is what has ALL of our character growth so far. To me that can never be matched and always leaves me wanting more.

What is your fandom superpower? No clue... maybe: if I can't say something nice, I don't say anything at all?

If you have been to an SPN con before, what is your favourite memory? Never personally to a con yet (Will be attending VanCon 2018 in Oct) but favorite Con Moment from You Tube is AHBL8 when Jared first plays guitar on stage to Free Fallin' with the awesome and loving support of all his friends

Are you up to date on this season? If so, what are your thoughts? Yes for sure. Really enjoying it. Liking where they are finally going with Sam but slightly bemused by all the different story lines they are attempting to add in all at once instead of concentrating on just a few. But hopeful it will all come together in the end.

When did you first start watching Supernatural? Sept 2017 I looked into it and got a dvd of it a day or two later. Season 13 was the first season I watched as it aired. I had heard of the show about season 8 or 9 from my cousins but thought nothing of it. But one of my best friends who I met online last year wrote fanfiction and I began beta-ing for her and one of her main fandoms was Supernatural so she convinced me to look into it and I feel in love!

How did you get involved in the fandom that is the #SPNfamily? In January 2018 I started looking into the online presence of the #SPNFamily and talked to a few people who were just so genuine. Ally was one of them, and then I started learning about the charitable hearts of the cast and #SPNFamily and Alana King's youtube channel. And since then I've really tried to get more involved and meet new friends, and participate in things when possible.

Who are your favourite characters? From the start I loved Sam, and more recently I've really come to love Dean also. I also have a soft spot for Charlie, Claire, Jody, Eileen and the WaywardSisters as well as Rowena, and Crowley, Chuck, Gavin and Bobby at times.

What is your favourite episode/season? I absolutely love Fanfiction, but also Wayward Sisters, and basically all of season 13. I know there are others but I'm struggling to decide. From the start I loved Sam, and more recently I've really come to love Dean also.

What is your fandom superpower? The Charitable Heart of this fandom, and that I've felt so connected to the fandom and my own empathy throughout my life in being able to help others.

If you have been to an SPN con before, what is your favourite memory? I haven't yet, but its a dream of mine!

What does the #SPNfamily mean to you? It means feeling like I belong and matter. Having friends that enjoy what I enjoy and understand not only what you love but what you may be struggling with since anxiety, depression, and other mental health issues and loss can be shared and helped/supported within this fandom. Plus this is also such a creative fandom that family members have created jobs and stores from their creative pursuits. Others have found their own creative passions they didn't even know they had, and the fandom is so supportive that Misha created GISHWHES out of the creativity and the charity found within this fandom. I don't know another fandom with this level of notability.

Are you up to date on this season? If so, what are your thoughts? Yes I am, and I think that this season is one of the better ones again. With the return of many fan-favourite cast members/characters and the Jack storyline and Wayward pilot its really well done. There are a few things that have been dragged out or done poorly, but overall I am really loving this season. It also helps that this is the first one I'm watching as it airs and have attempted to live tweet during commercials of the episode.

Are you involved in any other fandoms? If so, what? I tried to be a part of the R5family (R5 is a band) but was never truly accepted, and always felt out of place because so many R5family members were much younger than me and had attended many concerts (some right from the start) while I had not had that chance. I fell out of the fandom (although was never fully in it) probably about a year ago after 2-3 years of trying.

What is your favourite episode/season? love season 5. I'm a sucker for Team Free Will.

What is your fandom superpower? I make gifs and screen caps. Don't know if that counts as a superpower.

If you have been to an SPN con before, what is your favourite memory? Never been to one.

What does the #SPNfamily mean to you? I have met some very wonderful people through the family. I have seen incredible support for other #SPNfamily members when needed, lots of love for cast, crew and fans alike.

Are you up to date on this season? If so, what are your thoughts? All caught up. I'm really loving the return of Team Free Will, Cas seems to be rebuilding his confidence, which I am happy to see, also pleased to see that Sam and Dean are growing in their own rights. Sam's connection to Jack, and Dean's determination to get their mom and Jack back from the Apocalypse world. I'm confused by the Lucifer arc though. Thought he was going for redemption, but the last episode kind of changed that line of thought for me.

Are you involved in any other fandoms? If so, what? I love J.R.R. Tolkien books and films, looking forward to the Amazon series that they are planning. I have a lot of fandoms that I am part of but not particularly involved in per se.

What is your favourite episode/season? Episode: Regarding Dean / Season: I love them all more or less.

What is your fandom superpower? Patience and serenity

If you have been to an SPN con before, what is your favourite memory? Gil McKinney called me by my name twice!!!

What does the #SPNfamily mean to you? The SPN family means a lot to me. She helps me get out of my shell and get back in touch with other people. Even if it's 'only' online. The SPN family has helped me more than my own. They support me and do not condemn me.

Are you up to date on this season? If so, what are your thoughts? Yes thanks to Amazon prime. I love it. I am open to all directions. Wherever the story leads me, I will follow. Okay, maybe I'll get out when 'real' aliens come into play, or crossover games like ARROW, Flash, etc., where you have to buy a thousand episodes or DVDs to follow the story.

When did you first start watching Supernatural? Around September 2016

How did you get involved in the fandom that is the #SPNfamily? As a distraction from my real life! 2017 was the worst year for me (not even exaggerating, literally worst year of my life). Everything I had known and loved had broken (and I still haven’t found all the pieces). I had started using Twitter as a way to connect with others who share my disabilities. Oh, and to follow celebrities, of course! But I started noticing and following other Supernatural fans more and more often. And, wonders of wonders, most of them were awesome! And very welcoming! It blew me away!

Who are your favourite characters? Sam. Dean. Charlie. Eileen. Lucifer (but he’s my favorite character I love to hate!). Jack. Donna. Do you want me to keep going? 😁

What is your favourite episode/season? My favorite episodes vary with my moods and are ‘Changing Channels,’ ‘Bad Day at Black Rock,’ ‘The French Mistake,’ ‘Fan Fiction,’ ‘Regarding Dean,’ and ‘Who We Are.’ And I cant pick a favorite season. They all have some great episodes and a few stinkers!

What is your fandom superpower? Hmmmm. Huh, this is a tough question! I’m not sure I have a superpower. But it’s CLEARLY not filling in this form in a timely manner!

If you have been to an SPN con before, what is your favourite memory? 😢 Never been (and probably never will). Out of my reach monetarily. But I’m going to try to volunteer at MinnCon!

What does the #SPNfamily mean to you? Acceptance. And love. Most of this family is so welcoming and open. Sure, there are squabbles and harsh words, but isn’t that all families? I just wish the few ‘die hards’ out there; the ones who don’t accept the fact that we are ALL allowed to have different opinions, different faves and different ‘ships,’ would figure out what family really means.

Are you up to date on this season? If so, what are your thoughts? All caught up! I have to watch on the CW app. And it can be torture to have to wait til the next day (I have to avoid all social media Thurs. nights!). I am really enjoying the new season! It’s not perfect and I am a little disappointed at how some of the characters are being written. I will say that I love Jack and think Alexander Calvert is amazing in this role! Kudos to the casting people for him!

Are you involved in any other fandoms? If so, what? No, not to the same extent as Supernatural! There are other things that I love and obsess over, but I’ve never gone full ‘fandom’ on. If I did, it would probably be the Marvel Universe and Harry Potter!

Name: Stephanie

Twitter handle: @stephaniejohn23

When did you first start watching Supernatural? Last year!

How did you get involved in the fandom that is the #SPNfamily? I decided to check out this show once and I became hooked ever since. You could say I’m passionately obsessed. Began following people on Twitter and meeting people at SPN conventions.

Who are your favourite characters? Castiel, Dean, Crowley, Lucifer, Sam. Mainly Castiel

What is your favourite episode/season? changing channels or plucky pennywhistles magical menagerie ... any episode where castiel has innocent punchlines

What is your fandom superpower? Smiting.

If you have been to an SPN con before, what is your favourite memory? Misha smiling at me after our photo op, laughing so hard I cried at Jensen and Jared’s panel, Mark Sheppard telling me I was worth 2 pigs when I said I was (jokingly) worth only one

What does the #SPNfamily mean to you? We’re all in it together and it really doesn’t end with blood

Are you up to date on this season? If so, what are your thoughts? Yes. Im still uncertain but when Lucifer and castiel are in screen together I’m in love. My eyes are always glued to the tv still

Are you involved in any other fandoms? If so, what? NOPE. #SPN always :)

When did you first start watching Supernatural? May 2017 (Yep. Newbie!)

How did you get involved in the fandom that is the #SPNfamily? Tumblr, because gifs.

Who are your favourite characters? Crowley, Dean, Cas and Gabe

What is your favourite episode/season? I know this may be a bit unpopular but....season 7. Yes, Dick Roman was silly, but I enjoyed the tongue in cheek nature of his character and I enjoyed the (deceptively) lighter feel of the season overall. Hallucifer was awesome. The meta was awesome and I thought it was one of the best paced seasons of the series. So yeah. Fight me! Episode wise - it's a toss up between Changing Channels and The Rapture. The former is just plain hilarious and I just really loved how much it showed what a toll this fight has taken on the people you wouldn't otherwise consider.

What is your fandom superpower? I can stay above the shipping drama!

If you have been to an SPN con before, what is your favourite memory? Vegas is my first SPN con :)

What does the #SPNfamily mean to you? I just appreciate how friendly the fandom is to newbies. Yes, the drama is real and the drama is legit but on the whole this has been one of the most freely engaging and welcoming fandoms I've ever met.

Are you up to date on this season? If so, what are your thoughts? I am fully current and I think that by the standards of seasons 9 - present this is one of the better late series seasons. I don't think it's as strong as 11, but it's a definitely improvement on season 12. I love Jack and Casifer, I can't wait to see more of AU!Michael and The Empty, and I think there have been some good stand alone eps. I'm not sold on the Wayward Sisters spin-off and wish they hadn't spent as much time setting it up as they have, but eh. It's a fairly minor complaint.

Are you involved in any other fandoms? If so, what? Before SPN took over my fannish heart, I was huge into The Vampire Diaries and The Originals and before that True Blood!

If you have been to an SPN con before, what is your favourite memory? Seeing everyone there being there for the same reason and getting autographs and photo ops

What does the #SPNfamily mean to you? Someone I can always turn to who will always support me when I need it

When did you first start watching Supernatural? 2008-09 I was in a care home for a year and I saw it, fell in love with SPN but had an elderly Spanish  roommate who didn't  speak any English and if she heard would've freaked so had watch when she was asleep!

How did you get involved in the fandom that is the #SPNfamily? Well, that wasn't until 2014 because I didn't have a cell phone or computer until then (I'm older 55 now) I resisted until I realized I needed one to keep up with show and #Fandom so I caved!

Who are your favourite characters? I don't truly have favorite character or actor I love them all (even Ketch) but I will admit I am a #Samazon (not my word but it does belong to Platinum Rose Lady)

What is your favourite episode/season? I can't choose but I really happen to like whatever season I'm watching at the moment -- unfortunately I kind of watch a couple at a time so right now it's 13 & 4!

What is your fandom superpower?  My #Fandom power is maybe that I've seen the entire series including cons, bloopers and gag reels at least a 1,000 times so ask me almost anything!

If you have been to an SPN con before, what is your favourite memory? No, I haven't been (bc I just don't have the money being on SSI) but I do have a favorite thing I watched on YouTube it was the Boston con 2011 PRL asked Jared a question about House of Wax & what he wore; he went on to explain about a "____ sock" and said well I don't want to ruin it for you; if you haven't heard or seen it but it's hilariously awesome!

What does the #SPNfamily mean to you? #SPNFamily means more to me then anyone could imagine bc the saying "Family Doesn't End With Blood" is my life bc I was adopted at 2 months by an amazing couple my parents/family and these people accepted me, loved me unconditionally without question and I've used that blueprint for accepting people into my life as not just friends but family so #SPNFamily has a special place in my heart!

Are you up to date on this season? If so, what are your thoughts? Yes,and love it can't wait for more because at this writing season 13 is only at ep. 13 More ,more, more, more, please, more!

When did you first start watching Supernatural? About 11 months ago.

How did you get involved in the fandom that is the #SPNfamily? My husband urged me to watch SPN before he passed. Grief and loneliness led me to take a look. I was hooked 3 episodes in, understood, finally, why he loved the show...family, loyalty, love. I'd noticed the activism of Misha Collins, as well, and how other SPN cast members, crew and production staff were also invested extending their reach in making social change, creating charities, and in making a measurable difference in the world. I noticed the fan/family connection, and was made to feel welcome.

Who are your favourite characters? Dean, Sam, Castiel, and though gone, Crowley. In truth, I've loved and been fascinated by all of them.

What is your favourite episode/season? Season 1; episode 1. I love the current season, as well...every episode, so far.

What is your fandom superpower? I am an encourager, I believe.

If you have been to an SPN con before, what is your favourite memory?

What does the #SPNfamily mean to you? It doesn't take the place of my family. We've been fragmented by grief for 4-1/2 years with the loss of my adult daughter 4 years ago and my husband 18 months ago. Grief puts up walls...#SPNfamily is helping me cope with the distance, by being welcoming, in spite of my brokenness.

Are you up to date on this season? If so, what are your thoughts? Yes. It's an amazing evidence of the persistant nature of what the show has always promoted...love, loyalty and family. And that family us not limited to DNA. It's also been instrumental in catapulting the concept of women as capable of the same strength of purpose, autonomy, willingness to challenge the darkness while still handling the roles women have always held.

When did you first start watching Supernatural? I watched it on and off in the beginning. Stopped watching do to no TV access and then binge watched it around S9/S10 when I got Netflix.

How did you get involved in the fandom that is the #SPNfamily? I followed fanfic authors on Twitter and got sucked in.

Who are your favourite characters? ean, Castiel, and Charlie

What is your favourite episode/season? Too many to choose from! S4,S5, S6, S8, S13 so far

What is your fandom superpower? Being a ghost

If you have been to an SPN con before, what is your favourite memory? Hugging Misha even if it was for less than 2 seconds and meeting friends

What does the #SPNfamily mean to you? To me there are two sides of #spnfamily the side I live on where we are family. We love and help each other and support each other and are inclusive. Then there is the other side, who fling the term around despite being exclusive and are bunch of hateful dillwads but don't know the meaning of the word family

Are you up to date on this season? If so, what are your thoughts? I'm 2 episodes behind

Are you involved in any other fandoms? If so, what? Not so much anymore. Used to be involved in Gundam Wing and Naruto fandom

When did you first start watching Supernatural? June 2016

How did you get involved in the fandom that is the #SPNfamily? My daughters, who I don’t live with, had told me about the show. In June 2016 I lost everything due to opioid addiction & began recovery. I started binge watching SPN from season 1 as a way to distract me from the immense physical & emotional torture that is withdrawal and the reemergence of my mental health problems I’d been numbing with pills & alcohol. The show literally saved my life and gave me something to bond with my daughters over. I began to get involved in the fandom, mostly on twitter, and through mental health awareness & charity campaigns my love for the show, the characters, the cast, Louden Swain & The Station Breaks, and fandom helped me realize I was still living in a cycle of domestic abuse. Fandom gave me the courage to leave. I’m starting my life over at 40 with nothing but the fandom.

Who are your favourite characters? Castiel resonates with me as someone who doesn’t truly “belong”, but found a new family & friends through his choices to do what he felt was right. I’m also really awkward like him. I also dearly love the boys, and I adore Kevin, Charlie, Chuck, Jody, and Donna. Honestly I love almost every character.

What is your favourite episode/season? I can’t pick a favorite!

What is your fandom superpower? Empathy & love. I can usually understand both sides to an argument so I rarely pick sides in fandom drama. I love it all and I don’t spread hate or negativity based on who your faves are or who you ship. My other superpower is making fandom related jewelry. I have an Etsy shop! (https://www.etsy.com/shop/SPNStanSupport)

If you have been to an SPN con before, what is your favourite memory? I’ve been to three so far and I can’t pick a favorite memory, but vegas 2017 was my first and I’ll never forget being in a huge room with tons of people (normally big trigger for my PTSD and anxiety) and just being overwhelmed with the joy & love of all these people who were like me. The energy of love at conventions is a physical, palpable thing.

What does the #SPNfamily mean to you? To me it’s a group of people who come together to do good, to change the world for the better, and to share love. We help each other. We help the world. All because of a tv show.

Are you up to date on this season? If so, what are your thoughts? Yes I am and I love season 13 so far! I’m so freaking excited about the characters who are back from the dead, either from the other world or not. And I’m overjoyed about Wayward Sisters!

Are you involved in any other fandoms? If so, what? I’m not really involved in any other fandoms to the point of Supernatural, but I love the Walking Dead!

When did you first start watching Supernatural? About a year ago, my partner had bought me the first season on DVD and we finally got round to watching them. I was hooked from the first episode

How did you get involved in the fandom that is the #SPNfamily? My first encounters with the fandom were on Instagram, I like to draw fanart so I posted some there. People seemed to like them so I kept posting. I found some really cool fandom pages and other people in the SPNfamily who I now interact with regularly. It really is a great big family and I love it.

Who are your favourite characters? This one is difficult. I love a lot of the characters in the show for lots of different reasons so it’s hard to pin down just a few. Obviously I love Sam and Dean, it’s really hard not to and I really relate to Castiel who is the epitome of awkward but he’s a total badass too. Out of Team Free Will, I honestly can’t tell who my favourite actually is. Out of other characters on the show, I think its has to be Balthazar and Meg. They’re both so different to one another and yet I love them both. I think maybe it’s the fact that they are both witty, sarcastic and really determined and focused on their goals. Both characters have made me laugh and they both have an inner strength that has shone through in the show.

What is your favourite episode/season? The French Mistake is my favourite hands down, It was the ultimate breaking of the 4th wall and by far one of the funniest episodes ever to grace the tv screen. The fact that it was all Balthazar causing a bit of mayhem to distract everybody just made it all the better. Seeing what Dean and Sam would do, and how they interact with everyone in our world was a work of comedic genius and a perfect pause to the dark themes that were present that season (well, excluding the murder of meta!Misha that is). Overall though, my favourite season so far has been season 5, I loved the storylines, the character development and everything in between.

What is your fandom superpower? I like to draw cute fanart and I like to cosplay. I’m not so sure I’d call either of those a superpower on my part though.

If you have been to an SPN con before, what is your favourite memory? Not yet, but I will be attending my first one in May this year in Birmingham UK (the weekend of my birthday to boot!). I’m so excited to be attending and I have pretty much sorted out my cosplays for the weekend. It can’t come soon enough!

What does the #SPNfamily mean to you? To me, the SPNfamily is just that: one great big family. We all hold each other up and rely upon one other. We share our sadness, our happiness and our love for the show as one. We help each other and share our joys with one another. It’s an amazing, fantastic, beautiful thing and I am so happy and grateful to be part of it.

Are you up to date on this season? If so, what are your thoughts? As I live in the UK, I haven’t seen any of season 13 so far as it isn’t airing yet (I will be buying it on Amazon soon though!). From what I have seen in the forms of gifs, screencaps and textposts it’s looking to be one of the best seasons yet. I can’t to finally watch it.

Are you involved in any other fandoms? If so, what? At the moment other than Supernatural I am only really actively involved in the Harry Potter fandom. I have been since the books came out when I was a child, but my true fandom will always be Supernatural. Nothing can ever top what the SPNfamily has.

When did you first start watching Supernatural? 2007

How did you get involved in the fandom that is the #SPNfamily? Read "Family Don't end with blood", joined twitter, followed fandom, actors and families on all social media, read the book series.

Who are your favourite characters? Dean, Cas, Bobby and Charlie

What is your favourite episode/season? 12- As my life became about caring for my ALZ Mom, Regarding Dean shook me to my core, made me laugh, and made me want to rewatch the entire series.

What is your fandom superpower? Encouragement, research.... and quotes.

If you have been to an SPN con before, what is your favourite memory? I have not.... This year, Chuck willing.

What does the #SPNfamily mean to you? Inclusion, encouragement, positivity, kindness, fun... inspiration to be the change U want to see in the world.

Are you up to date on this season? If so, what are your thoughts? Of course!!! I have enjoyed it greatly. I am not really a fan of evil Colonel Sanders... as a Southerner I find him embarassing. 😳 The best part has been the resurrection of past characters. And Jack. He is a great addition, and not the character I expected.

Are you involved in any other fandoms? If so, what? Not really. I am a Disnerd, but SPN checks a lot of boxes for me that nothing else has.

When did you first start watching Supernatural? The first time that I ever saw an episode was in 2007. I was watching TV and I changed the channel to TNT. They were showing reruns of"Supernatural" and the episode "Home" was playing. I was very fascinated by the episode. However, I didn't start regularly watching the show until 2010. It was summer and TNT was showing reruns of "Supernatural" from the beginning, so I started watching from the first episode with my mom. Then my mom and I went to Wal Mart and she bought DVDs of seasons 1-5 of "Supernatural" and we basically binge-watched all of the episodes from seasons 1-5. We finished season 5 before the first episode of season 6 was about to air on CW, so my mom went online to see what day it would air and we ended up watching it. We've watched every episode since then (Of course we still watch reruns of "Supernatural" on TNT as well).

How did you get involved in the fandom that is the #SPNfamily? It started when I first saw something about the #OnlyLove campaign on Twitter (On Mark Pellegrino's Twitter page). He shared a video from Jeff where he was talking about the #OnlyLove campaign. I went on Jeff's Twitter page and saw that he was a "Supernatural" fan, so I immediately followed him on Twitter. Then I ended up following some other people who are part of the SPN Family. I also posted a couple of "Supernatural"-related things that I made (Mostly collages, but I also made a special design related to different hashtags from the SPN Family).

Who are your favourite characters? Cas, Jack, Sam, Dean, Crowley, Rowena, Jody, Donna, Ketch, and Lucifer

What is your favourite episode/season? Every season and episode is very special in its own way. However, I'd have to say that seasons 4 and 5 are two of my favorites (I'm really liking season 13 as well) and "Lazarus Rising," "The French Mistake," and "Yellow Fever" are a few of my favorite episodes.

What is your fandom superpower? Making collages using pictures of some of my favorite characters. I also plan on writing something based on a funny dream that I had that involved Ketch jazzercising and singing along to "Love Shack" by The B-52s (It'll most likely be a script for a funny little skit or something like that). Also, I like to show plenty of love and support to the amazing SPN Family. I'm also working on making something special for each "Supernatural" cast member that I plan on seeing at the SPN con in Pittsburgh.

If you have been to an SPN con before, what is your favourite memory? I haven't attended one yet. However, I plan on going to the SPN con in Pittsburgh this year. I'm super excited about it!

What does the #SPNfamily mean to you? The SPN Family is full of so many caring, creative, and supportive people. I've made some good friends within the SPN Family. Also, I love that the cast members of SPN seem to really love their fans and they even respond to fans (It definitely makes us feel special).

Are you up to date on this season? If so, what are your thoughts? Yes. I absolutely love it! Jack is definitely my favorite new character this season and his very Cas-like behavior has actually made him one of my favorite characters overall. I also really liked "Wayward Sisters." This season also seems to have quite a few twists and turns (Which is a good thing).

Are you involved in any other fandoms? If so, what? Star Wars

When did you first start watching Supernatural?

How did you get involved in the fandom that is the #SPNfamily? 2014 I went to DCCon in 2015 and that was it lol.

Who are your favourite characters? Castiel, Dean, Gabriel, Chuck, Balthazar, Ellen, Bobby and Sam

What is your favourite episode/season? Oooohhhhh, that’s rough...I don’t know that I could honestly pick one. I’ll get back to you on that lol.

What is your fandom superpower? Not caring what people ship as long as they aren’t rude and giving back as much as I can.

If you have been to an SPN con before, what is your favourite memory? I have been to cons before. My favorite memory is when I ran a Thank You Misha project at NJCon. Even though Misha didn’t realize it was for him at first, it was awesome to see the blue and green glow sticks. Plus we donated $1200 to RA.

What does the #SPNfamily mean to you? SPNFamily are people who don’t judge me for loving something. People that I can turn to if I need something and that I’m there for no matter what. Also my best friends.

Are you up to date on this season? If so, what are your thoughts? I am up to date and I’m absolutely enjoying this season. I always wish for more Cas, but I feel like they are finally allowing all the characters to grow and develop.

When did you first start watching Supernatural? The first season I watched "live" was 6.

How did you get involved in the fandom that is the #SPNfamily? I tend to be obsessive about things, so it didn't take long to discover the fandom. I love the heart behind the #SPNFamily!!

Who are your favourite characters? Jody Mills, Chuck, Charlie, Sam and Gabriel. Not necessarily in that order.

What is your favourite episode/season? Don't Call Me Shurley/Season 11 made me fall in love with this show all over again.

What is your fandom superpower? Being the "me too" voice with those who live with mental illness.

What does the #SPNfamily mean to you? To me, The #SPNFamily is a group of amazing, caring, vibrant people who are changing the world and just happen to all love the same show.

Are you up to date on this season? If so, what are your thoughts? Holy Crap. I screamed at the ending of Devil's Bargain. And I LOVED #WaywardSisters!!!!!

When did you first start watching Supernatural? About 6 years ago, after my mom told me about it.

How did you get involved in the fandom that is the #SPNfamily? I have been a part of a really amazing Supernatural group for about 2 years, I think. We don't just discuss the show & actors, but we are a family. We are all over the world. We talk about our lives, our happiness, our struggles. We GISH together, laugh together, craft together, and cry together. A group of us even met last year in Austin for a weekend. We are planning it again this year. They have become my family. I also beta read for authors. It started out for a couple of my fandom friends who are fantastic writers, but I offered help to others and try to help their stories as best I can. I tried writing, but it's hard for me and I don't think I'm very good at it.

Who are your favourite characters? I love all of the characters, but I have a soft spot for Cas & Gabe.

What is your favourite episode/season? People ask this a lot. But I really can never pick seasons. They're all great in their own ways. A few of my favorite episodes would be Just My Imagination, Fan Fiction, Hammer of The Gods, Dog Dean Afternoon, Mystery Spot, Changing Channels, Lazerus Rising. I really love the fun episodes.

What is your fandom superpower? Well I sometimes beta read for the amazing writers of this fandom. And I like to think I try to give all the love I have to support the fandom.

If you have been to an SPN con before, what is your favourite memory? I have unfortunately never been to a con before. I can't afford the cost since no con is close by. But I would absolutely LOVE to go, just once.

What does the #SPNfamily mean to you? The SPNfamily are people who understand me and accept me for me. We may be a little broken and imperfect, but we embrace those imperfections, and we bring out each other's weird. We encourage our creativity. It's seriously amazing.

Are you up to date on this season? If so, what are your thoughts? I am up to date and I love most of the season. *spoiler warning!* I am just upset that they haven't touched on Jack in several episodes. It's too long without doing anything.

Are you involved in any other fandoms? If so, what? Not really. I enjoy many other things, but this is the only fandom that is my family.

When did you first start watching Supernatural? I started watching during season 2 but had to stop during season 5 because of the people I lived with but I never forgot and about a year ago started watching again and am thankfully all caught up

How did you get involved in the fandom that is the #SPNfamily? I am a huge NKOTB fan and noticed #AKF attached to a lot of my followers and got very excited to know it was attached to Supernatural and I found my home with the #SPNFamily

Who are your favourite characters? Sam and Dean but I have a great love for everyone in the cast

What is your favourite episode/season? That's a difficult one I think it's a three-way tie between Swan Song, Baby and Don't Call Me Shurley

What is your fandom superpower? Love and Family

If you have been to an SPN con before, what is your favourite memory? Haven't been yet hopefully this is my year!!!

What does the #SPNfamily mean to you? Everything!!!

Are you up to date on this season? If so, what are your thoughts? I am loving the hell out of everything I've seen and looking forward to more!

Are you involved in any other fandoms? If so, what? Block Nation and Buffyverse

When did you first start watching Supernatural? Season 1. I don't remember if I saw the pilot live, or if it was a re-air. What can I say? It was a while ago.

How did you get involved in the fandom that is the #SPNfamily? Oh man. Season 8? Someone told me about fanfiction. I haven't looked back since.

Who are your favourite characters? Dean, Cas, Sam, Jody, Donna, Jack! Uhh, it might be easier to list the ones I don't like...

What is your favourite episode/season? I really, really don't know. There are so many!

What does the #SPNfamily mean to you? You know what it's like, when your family comes together for holidays, and it's a chaotic mess? There's the drunk relative being something-phobic, someone's judging you for something, and everyone takes sides? That.

Are you up to date on this season? If so, what are your thoughts? Yes! It's good. The new writers have really gotten into a groove, and seem to work well together with Dabb and Berens. Now if we could just do something with Singer and the Duo... Of course, not every episode is perfect. but it FEELS like we're building up to something, so I hope we don't get the deflating balloon that was the latter half of Carver's era.

Are you involved in any other fandoms? If so, what? I don't think I'll ever be as involved in another fandom as I am in SPN, but Yuri on Ice & skating fandom, Marvel, um... I think those are the only ones I'm active in, Although I'm a fan of lots of other shows.

Name: Sara Jane

Twitter handle: @book_lover_86

When did you first start watching Supernatural? I started watching Supernatural from the very beginning. I was going through a lot more than I am now, and the show created a "safe place" for me. Somewhere I felt like I could escape from the real world and just focus on something that genuinely made me happy.

How did you get involved in the fandom that is the #SPNfamily? I really didn't know much about the SPN family until 2015. I just watched the show and that was about it. I can't recall exactly what drove me into the arms of the family, but I have never regretted it. I've met some of the most amazing people, who are now my family and I love them all so much more than I could ever express.

Who are your favourite characters? I've had my share of rotating favorites, like Dean, Castiel and even Crowley, but ultimately, my heart found its way back to Gabriel. He and I share a lot of similarities as far as how we view family and how we respond to drama within our family comfort zone. Much like Gabriel, I hide my suffering and hurting behind sarcastic humour - and even though we hide from the world, we care about those around us.

What is your favourite episode/season? Definitely Season 5. It's an important season to me, because I learned who the Trickster really was. The four horsemen came into play, as well as Lucifer, and even though my favorite had a heartbreaking ending, I still cherish that season the most. The character development in that season was amazing for every character.

What is your fandom superpower? I don't know that I have a superpower, but I will say, I have grown in my ability to write poetry and fanfiction thanks to the show and every character involved.

If you have been to an SPN con before, what is your favourite memory? Meeting Richard Speight, Jr. for the very first time. I was a nervous wreak, but he was so sweet and understanding. He made my very first con experience truly memorable, along with all the people I met through the con weekend. Nashcon will always have a special place in my heart.

What does the #SPNfamily mean to you? The SPN Family means kindness, compassion, caring, acceptance, understanding and unconditional love and respect for one another.

Are you up to date on this season? If so, what are your thoughts? I, unfortunately am not up to date. I have been exposed to spoilers (by choice) so I have a very small understanding as to what's going on. I am curious to actually watch what I've missed since season 11 and to see where they're going to go with the show.

Are you involved in any other fandoms? If so, what? Supernatural is the biggest fandom I am involved in. I have a few side fandoms like the Doctor Who fandom and Star Wars, Star Trek and a few others, but the SPN fandom is the most important to me and the one I fit better in.

Name: Elizabeth

When did you first start watching Supernatural? In college, back in season 8.

How did you get involved in the fandom that is the #SPNfamily? Through my roommates in college who were also big fans. They introduced me to the fandom and kind of helped me ease into it but I dived in.

Who are your favourite characters? Team Free Will 2.0, the Wayward Sisters, Mary Winchester, Gabriel and Chuck, Charlie, Eileen

What is your favourite episode/season? Anything Robbie Thompson or Ben Edlund ever wrote, all the episodes with Gabriel, The French Mistake, Wayward Sisters and Breakdown (there are so many).

What is your fandom superpower? I turn people into cute Pop dolls.

If you have been to an SPN con before, what is your favourite memory? Definitely meeting all my vendor squad family, and Jared playing with my proton pack at SPN Houston.

What does the #SPNfamily mean to you? It’s a place I feel safe. This is my home and this is my family. We accomplish so many amazing things when we work together as one cohesive unit, despite fandom drama. We change lives and that’s a beautiful thing.

Are you up to date on this season? If so, what are your thoughts? Yes and I think we’ve had a pretty solid season so far. Last season was a little rocky and murky as to what it was doing and the new characters it introduced, but I think this season has been fun and definitely feels-filled and everything I wanted last season to be.

Are you involved in any other fandoms? If so, what? Wynonna Earp, The Good Place, Firefly, Harry Potter, Buffy the Vampire Slayer.

When did you first start watching Supernatural? After my youngest was born, December 2016.

How did you get involved in the fandom that is the #SPNfamily? Started getting on Twitter more, began interacting with other fans.

Who are your favourite characters? Sam, Dean, Cas, Lucifer, Crowley, Bobby, Charlie

What is your favourite episode/season? Favorite episode is the Pilot because it is the starting point of the whole show. Favorite seasons would be 5, 8, 11, 12, & 13.

What is your fandom superpower? Love.

What does the #SPNfamily mean to you? SPN Family to me means people who share similar interests but at the same time don’t share all the same interests, being understanding toward one another while also supporting each other and being there for one another.

Are you up to date on this season? If so, what are your thoughts? Yes, I’m loving the way it’s progressing so far. We saw Dean start off in a dark place, which now has switched to Sam and that let us to hear him talk a little about his experience with Lucifer and it’s effect on him. We’ve watched Jack grow in a sense, watched Cas come back and now Rowena. I’m curious to see how they’ll deal with AU Michael.

Are you involved in any other fandoms? If so, what? Nope! But I am a fan of other TV shows and book series. Yes, The Walking Dead.Yes, The Walking Dead.

When did you first start watching Supernatural? I was not blessed to find the show in 2005 when it first aired but I’ve been a fan for many years.

How did you get involved in the fandom that is the #SPNfamily? I found the #SPNFamily through Twitter. I had been watching the show for quite a while before I reactivated my Twitter account and started connecting with all the wonderful SPN fans there. This is how I found out about the cons and started watching con videos.  It really opened up a whole new world to me!

Who are your favourite characters? This is actually a very hard question.  I ship the entire cast.  I love them all but when push comes to shove, I’m a Dean girl, Sam and Cas curious! I absolutely adore the strong women on the show, weather they are villians or heroes, from Abaddon to Amara and Jody to Donna.  Let’s not forget Charlie! I just wish we could see more of them.

What is your favourite episode/season? I have SO many favorites! I can’t possibly choose!

What is your fandom superpower? My writing is my superpower. I started writing again after connecting with Dawn and being exposed to the wonderful world of fanfiction!

If you have been to an SPN con before, what is your favourite memory? Ahh… How do I narrow this down?? I’ve been to 4 cons since July 2017. I’m leaving for #SPNVegas in a couple weeks.  I’ve had amazing photo ops and autographs with the cast but hands down, my favorite con memories are meeting all my #DarkHunters and #SPNFamily members.  Those are memories I won’t forget.

What does the #SPNfamily mean to you? This fandom, this family, is something so beautifully unique. I don’t believe it exists within any other fandom. I could be wrong, but the love, support and acceptance that is the bedrock of this family is mind blowing.  You can be yourself here; free of judgment.  That is so liberating. The fact that total strangers can come together because of a TV show and become family, that is real magic right there. It means the world to me.

Are you up to date on this season? If so, what are your thoughts? Oh yes I am! I am loving this season! There have been so many wonderful moments so far. I am looking forward to the rest of the episodes and to hearing that we have gotten a season 14.

Are you involved in any other fandoms? If so, what? I have other shows that I love to watch but none that I am actually involved in to the degree that I am with Supernatural.

Tell us about #darkhunters, and your involvement? I am-co leader, with Dawn Gray of #DarkHunters. Dark Hunters began with a Supernatural road trip that Dawn and I took in April of 2017.  That trip turned into fanfiction stories, that include Sam, Dean and two original characters that Dawn and I created; Ali Porter and Danni Danvers. Dawn has written three books in the series so far and I’m working on one. Fans of those stories came together and formed a family; a wonderful family that has grown into so much more than we could ever have dreamed. I’m amazed by it daily and so proud of what it has become.

What surprises you the most about the #darkhunters involvement? The thing that surprises me the most is how much we have grown in such a short a short time. I truly do not know how people find our family but they do. We have family members all over the world. We are a very talented group as well, we have writers, artists, actors, and painters.

What can #darkhunters fans look forward to? So far this year, the Dark Hunters have gotten their own page on Superwiki and we will be celebrating Supernatural Day on February 22nd at #SPNVegas. Many of the hunters will be attending The Giving Back Tour in Indianapolis later this year.  We are looking to extend the reach of the Dark Hunters out into our communities in an effort to help others. We have many, many surprises to come!

When did you first start watching Supernatural? Back when it started in 2005. I was writing my own books with the paranormal so to see something like this on the screen was amazing.

How did you get involved in the fandom that is the #SPNfamily? I first started on Facebook but when I figured out Twitter, I was drawn further in and I loved the people I was meeting.

Who are your favourite characters? Bobby, Sam, Dean, Cas, and I love to learn the lore about the monsters.

What is your favourite episode/season? Wow, that’s a hard one, I don’t think I have a favorite season or episode, but Baby definitely stands out.

What is your fandom superpower? I can come up with some facts that no one usually keeps stored in their mind, people usually come to me with obscure questions on the series.

If you have been to an SPN con before, what is your favourite memory? I’ve been to seven and they all have their own special memories.

What does the #SPNfamily mean to you? Love, support, and encouragement. I’ve never run into a negative person that put me down for any reason. I love that about it.

Are you up to date on this season? If so, what are your thoughts? AMAZING! I love everything about season 13 so far, love to see that they are digging deeper into Sam’s issues and that he’s finally facing them.

Are you involved in any other fandoms? If so, what? I’m not sure I could say I’m involved in other fandoms, but I’m loving Riverdale and Stranger Things.

Tell us about #darkhunters, and your involvement? Dark Hunters is a fanfiction that is based on a trip that was planned by Deb White and myself last year, maybe December 2016 and came about as a question of “what if” certain events happened on one of the nights that I was traveling alone. I am the writer of the series, and one of the co-leaders of the group.

What surprises you the most about the #darkhunters involvement? It amazes me everyday how people will come together under the name and fight for each other, I think it’s more of a family, something that helps lift people out of the darkness and brings people together. It has definitely been an eye-opener for me to find people that have such compassion for others that they are willing to open their hearts and lives to those they don’t know and extend a hand to give someone the lift they need to keep going.

What can #darkhunters fans look forward to? We just launched our SuperWiki page, which is a really big step. This year brings more “episode” type stories and possibly a fourth book, and the continued publishing of book three, but I think, what I would like to see is the gathering of more hunters. Indianapolis is a big con for us, we’re looking forward to making it part of the “Giving Back Tour” that we as hunters, and leaders, also give back to the community, so we’re encouraging anyone who can be there, any hunter that can make it, to come and give back. There are some special announcements coming shortly, and we have #DarkHuntersDay 2018 that we’re celebrating in Vegas this year. Which is going to be a weekend long event. 2.22.18 is our 1 year anniversary.

When did you first start watching Supernatural? 2014, around the time season 10 was premiering

How did you get involved in the fandom that is the #SPNfamily? I started searching for Supernatural related accounts on instagram, then I realized it was more than just a few people watching the show. When Jared released the first AKF campaign, I started seeing what a big community it was. I joined and never got out ❤

Who are your favourite characters? Sam, Dean, Crowley, Cas, Rowena, Jody

What is your favourite episode/season? For episode I think “Baby”, and season... It’s complicated, because I love season 5 but I also love seasons 11/12/13 so... Oops!

What is your fandom superpower? I can pretty much recite entire episodes!

If you have been to an SPN con before, what is your favourite memory? I haven’t but I’m looking forward to it.

What does the #SPNfamily mean to you? It means community and safety. Yeah, we may not always agree on some stuff, but we are there for each other. It’s a different kind of home.

Are you up to date on this season? If so, what are your thoughts? Yes and I’m loving it! Maybe there are a lot of subplots but I don’t really care. I’m looking forward to see where everything takes us.

Are you involved in any other fandoms? If so, what? Nope! But I am a fan of other TV shows and book series. Nope! But I am a fan of other TV shows and book series.

When did you first start watching Supernatural? 2013 on Netflix

How did you get involved in the fandom that is the #SPNfamily? I was deployed in Kuwait and totally obsessed with the show and found myself thinking that Dean and Cas seemed like they were in a romantic trope storyline and they seemed like they had some major chemistry and wondered if anyone else saw it so I looked on the internet to see if anyone else was seeing it too and that was the beginning of the end.

Who are your favourite characters? Dean – I fell in love with him from the first episode and he just got better and better. Jensen really is a superior actor. He really is first class, A-List quality.  Castiel is the loveliest dorky angel and I just fell in love with those big blue eyes and weirdo persona from the second he walked into the barn with sparks raining down.  Jody is all badass female action hero with a mom sensibility. I like to think she is my Patronus.  Donna is just a cute, funny and badass female. I love her and Jody working together.

What is your favourite episode/season? Oh gosh – this is hard. I am going to have to go with 5 and 8. I love the campy episodes. French Mistake is awesome because I love the Meta-ness of it. From the early years: Faith, In My Time of Dying (I love Dean-centric episodes). I love Bad Boys from Season 9; The End and It's a Terrible Life.

What is your fandom superpower? I write fan-fic.

If you have been to an SPN con before, what is your favourite memory? I went to Chicago con in 2014 after I got back from Kuwait and it was a lot of fun! I got up on stage and sang Karaoke with Matt and Rich. Rich stole my jacket during the Costume Karaoke photos and put it on. lol Meeting Misha and Jensen was like a dream come true and they are both very sweet and even better looking up close (impossible you say? But it’s true.).

What does the #SPNfamily mean to you? I have gotten to know some really awesome, smart people who are vociferously opinionated.  When I was in Iraq 2008-2009, I was HUGE into the GH fandom which helped me cope with being away from home. This deployment I was all about Supernatural. Being deeply involved with a fandom is distracting while you are away from home and helpful with keeping your mind elsewhere. The people I met online were super supportive and I even got to participate in GISHWHES while I was in Kuwait! Misha is such an unusual celebrity - he not only raises money for charity like so many other actors do, and not only actively gets his own hands dirt on projects - he gets the fans actively involved at a grassroots level so they feel empowered to go out and make their own change in the world. And then he got the rest of the cast involved in his endeavors too because who doesn’t want to be in on the fun?!  I don’t know if there is another person like Misha. Honestly - if he ran for public office, I’d move to where I could vote for him.  Basically, Misha represents the best part of #SPNFamily.

Are you up to date on this season? If so, what are your thoughts? I am up-to-date on the show. I really love Jack and think he’s an awesome addition to the cast. While I don’t always agree with the direction of the show (AU isn’t my favorite story.) the cast always makes it compelling. I wish they wouldn’t keep separating Cas from the WInchesters because I love their dynamic. Misha works well with everyone though and would have chemistry with a light pole so seeing him work with different people is interesting.

Are you involved in any other fandoms? If so, what? I was huge into the General Hospital fandom for a long while - I am still a fan of the show and have gone to celeb events but am less active in Social Media fandom than I once was.

When did you first start watching Supernatural? Around 8 episodes into s1; ‘Bugs’ — my dad suggested the show to me cause of Jensen (loved him in Smallville and Dark Angel) and I’ve been hooked ever since, me and my dad would watch it together and have our theory into how we think the series will pan out.

How did you get involved in the fandom that is the #SPNfamily? I discovered the #SPNFamily about 5 years ago, I’d been a fan from the get go but after my dad died in 2013 I kinda went to Supernatural as a grieving mechanism as it was our way to connect and I started following everyone to do with the show and discovered it then.

Who are your favourite characters? I think the question should be who ISN'T my favourite character, cause that would be easier, I really liked Dean at the beginning, now I really like Sam too, Cas, Gabe and Benny are my all time favourites and most recently Ketch and Jack.

What is your favourite episode/season? Season 1, Bugs is a favourite cuz it was what got me into the show, I know it isn’t a fan favourite but it is for me.

What is your fandom superpower? I like to write fan fiction.

If you have been to an SPN con before, what is your favourite memory? Meeting David Haydn-Jones (Ketch) last year in Blackpool, England, we had been tweeting previously and he came across as a really great and extremely dorky guy and he didn’t disappoint either, I got his M&G he knew who I was! (not sure if that a good thing or not 😂). I finally got to meet some of the people I’d been tweeting prior to the Con who became friends through David so that was super cool too.

What does the #SPNfamily mean to you? I’m gonna quote Bobby Singer here; “Family don’t end in blood," and man did he hit the nail. I’ve had the fortune to meet some AMAZING people through the show, specifically at conventions and via Twitter and these people I count as family and they have been there for me through some dark times.

Are you up to date on this season? If so, what are your thoughts? I’m up to date; I love it! Jack is an absolute sweetheart and already become a favourite of mine. Really do not want Lucifer to succeed in whatever he’s doing cuz I REALLY hate that character!

Are you involved in any other fandoms? If so, what? I love Harry Potter, Marvel, Doctor Who. I like to write fanfic for those too.

When did you first start watching Supernatural? I think season 6 was the first I saw in real time.

How did you get involved in the fandom that is the #SPNfamily? Well, I didn’t intend to. Years ago, when the upcoming films lured Tolkien fans out from under our books long enough to interact with other human beings, there was this extraordinary fandom experience. I still have lifelong friends from “Lord of the Rings,” but the cohesiveness of the fandom itself didn’t quite hold after “Return of the King,” and “The Hobbit” films didn’t revive it.

I was undeterred, though, I still had my Ringer friends, and I had other fandoms I could explore, like “Harry Potter,” but everywhere I looked was such a letdown from LotR, that I vowed not to give in to the temptation to even try again.

I guess the SPN Family ate my life after I saw “The French Mistake.” The whole, “at least they're talking to each other,” shtick just had to be tongue-in-cheek, right? It made me curious about the kind of people who would make fun of themselves in this meta kind of way, and of course it made me suspect what turned out to be true - Jared & Jensen are exactly the brothers we want them to be.

I watched some YouTube videos of cons, like, just a few, (read: all of them), and very quickly began to see that it all stems from Jared & Jensen, then moves out to Misha (who adds his highly unique flavor to it, lol) and the rest of the cast, crew, show-runners, directors, writers, con regulars, and all the way out to the fans at large, who reflect it off of each other for a while until it circles back through everyone to Jared & Jensen again. Everyone is fueled by it, like a giant self-perpetuating empowerment machine. And like a power generator that produces more energy than it needs, it all starts to flow out into the world, making it a better place. It blew the roof off of every expectation I have ever had about the human potential and cultural significance of fandom (sorry Ringers).

And don’t even get me started about “Wayward.” “Supernatural” fandom is co-creating a paradigm shift in how we even think about gender and inclusivity.

Who are your favourite characters? It’s all about the boys, but it’s all about family, but it’s all about the boys...so, Sam & Dean, but also everyone else. There are very few characters I don’t appreciate in one way or another, like beloved Castiel, and this season, the surprising, heart-grabbing Jack, and, I mean, Crowley? Bobby? Lucifer? Rowena? Charlie? Chuck? Metatron? Kevin? Ellen? Ketch? Mary? John? I could go on and on. Over the years there have been such beautiful, layered, characters written and brought to life by remarkably talented men and women! I do have a certain affinity for Jody and Donna, of course. I watch “Hibbing 911” a lot. It’s not even on my list of best episodes, but it means a lot to me.

What is your favourite episode/season? I think I am unusual in that Season 10 is my favorite. But, I mean, not by much, I think of it as a continuous experience from “Dad’s on a hunting trip...” until today, really, and I think we are gifted that the creators and writers do, too. Who would bring back a character from the first season who appeared in one episode, and drop them into the middle of season 13 and expect anyone to know, or even care who she is or what happens to her? “Supernatural,” that’s who.

And Episodes? There have been some beautiful examples of story-telling in 13 seasons, and I couldn’t possibly name them all without missing some!  Obviously “Swan Song,” but also, “Baby,” “Fan Fiction,” “Mystery Spot,” “Lazarus Rising,” “Red Meat,” “In My Time of Dying,” “Executioner’s Song,” “Don’t Call Me Shurley,” “Regarding Dean,” “Jus In Bello,” “The End,” and several more that were just outrageously good.

What is your fandom superpower? My involvement in fandom is varied. I started by participating in great discussions about the show with other fans who like to analyze like I do, in the Facebook Group, “Carry On’s Supernatural Discussion Group.”

Also, I write fanfiction. I’ve written a couple of episode tags for “Supernatural,” and I just started a series of origin stories for the six “Wayward” characters in their own words, beginning with Alex. My fic writing is here: http://archiveofourown.org/users/Elfriend

As a visual artist, I recently did some art for “Wayward,” which, along with my RP group, inspired me to do a series of character portraits for “Supernatural,” the “Wayward” art is here: https://shiny-elfriend.deviantart.com/ I’ll post the new ones there as I complete them.

I write reviews, character studies, poetry, and fandom ponderings. here: https://shiny-elfriend.tumblr.com/ I recently posted an extensive character study of Sam, because, as I think we can agree, Sam’s character needs particularly close study at the moment.

But I think my real superpower is a very particular vision of the fandom as a whole. I feel that as a culture right now, we can all concede that we are deeply divided, and everyone feels vulnerable and braced for a fight. Even our amazing SPNFamily Safe Place has had some of that divisiveness leak into it. Factions have developed, not originating out of malice, but out of, I believe, a feeling of powerlessness. We each want to be the arbiter of what our fandom is, and what it means, because we are all a little desperate for a modicum of control over, really, anything, right now.

Unfortunately that sometimes translates into a lack of acceptance for differing viewpoints, and lack of acceptance is against everything we stand for as a fandom. It’s not as bad as people think, though. The negative voices are getting all the airtime out in the world at large, and within the fandom, too. A minority of agitators gather supporters and deepen divides, but we are so much stronger than this - vastly, wildly, passionately, unstoppably stronger.

I write a lot of “SPNFamily Therapy” (LOL) in my blog, trying to encourage and inspire us to hold the line, because it means so much to me that we remember who we are. I’m telling you, if you are seeing a lot of negativity, you’re listening to the wrong people!

We are in charge of where we put our attention, and the vast majority of us are incredibly empowering and accepting human beings. Its desperately important that we not allow ourselves to be drawn into drama. Even the best intentioned among us, who may feel that by standing up to one thing, and gathering support against that thing, they are protecting the rest, can find themselves exacerbating the problem. There are remedies to actual abuse that we can take without making it the center of our attention. Jared & Jensen, and Misha, and the rest, they are the center. The center holds.

I think that is why I am so drawn to Jody Mills, who I recently began role-playing on Twitter. Jody uses her dry, sarcastic wit, not to diminish people, but to tease and gently remind them how they diminish themselves, and show them that they don’t deserve it, like, at all, and they never have. She is also not afraid to “go there,” and not just about condoms, lol. If she catches you having a real crisis, she will hit you over the head with the reality of how incredible you really are. She stands up, and throws down for her family, and her family is who she says it is - just like out SPNFamily is called that, because we claimed that name for ourselves.

Taking on that role in a small way has been such a gift to me already. Role playing on Twitter, on the surface, seems like a game - a frivolous, (if highly enjoyable), use of time - but these characters mean something. Taking on their personas, even in a casual game, is a responsibility to the characters themselves and to the fandom. Something I say, wearing Jody’s face and name, could make someone smile, today, and sometimes that small thing is more important work than whatever pays our bills. It’s a blast, but it has a serious side, and I kinda love that.

If you have been to an SPN con before, what is your favourite memory? I will be attending my first con in Vancouver this October. In many ways, with all the con videos I have watched, I don’t feel like the experience will be entirely unfamiliar, but I suspect I will be feeling the excitement of immersing myself in the experience quite profoundly. I’ll have to let you know when I find out!

What does the #SPNfamily mean to you? Empowerment, acceptance, individuality, chosen family - yeah, it’s a love fest, ;)

Are you up to date on this season? If so, what are your thoughts? Season 13 is extraordinarily strong and unpredictable. As Kim Rhodes says, “you think you know, but you don’t know.” I think the enormous commitment to effectively launch “Wayward” as an organic evolution from “Supernatural” has been masterful. Dean, Sam and Castiel are all having intense character growth. Nobody phones it in on “Supernatural.” And tell me, when in the history of the show have they ever dropped in a brand new lead character that was instantaneously, and nearly universally, adored? Jack is a revelation that even after 13 years, we can truly surprise ourselves. From where we stand now, Sam and Dean could conceivably continue their journey indefinitely, and continue to surprise us, frustrate us, entertain us, blow our minds, and break our hearts for years to come (please, Chuck!).

Meanwhile, the universe expands. Chuck said, “Humans will step up. You, Sam, others that are the chosen, will have to find a way. It’s why I saved you years ago. You’re the firewall between light and darkness.” We get to see Sam and Dean go on being the firewall, while some of the “others that are the chosen” get to have their stories told, too.

Are you involved in any other fandoms? If so, what? I am a fan of many genre shows, movies, and stories, but “Supernatural” is the only fandom I actively participate in.

When did you first start watching Supernatural? I actually watched Season 1, or most of it, but I wasn’t really a fan. I was watching because a friend of mine was a BIG fan and she wanted company, so a bunch of us watched together. Then in early Season 2, I was watching one night mostly so I’d have something to chat with my friend about the next day, and suddenly I realized that I was really WATCHING. In fact, I’d been grading papers and they had literally slipped off my lap and onto the floor and I was sitting there with my proverbial red pen poised in the air. Why had I never realized this was the Best. Show. Ever?? That was it, I was in.

How did you get involved in the fandom that is the #SPNfamily? As soon as I fell head over heels for the show, I went online to find more stuff – photos of the boys, fanfiction, other fans. I discovered the vibrant creative community that was Live Journal in 2007 and dove right in. The psychologist in me quickly became fascinated with this amazing supportive community where people (mostly women) felt like they could actually be REAL with each other. I’d never experienced anything like it. Later the community spread to other platforms, but remained supportive and wonderfully creative.

Who are your favourite characters?  I am endlessly fascinated by Dean – pretty sure he will be my favorite fictional character EVER, and forever. But I adore Sam, because Sam and Dean’s relationship is so much of what I adore about Dean. As far as other characters, there are so many that I adore. I loved Crowley and I continue to love Rowena – and Jody and Donna are right up there too.

What is your favourite episode/season? Season 2 is still my favorite, followed by Season 4. Season 2 is the one that hooked me on the show, and Season 4 was such a compelling story line as Dean returned from Hell and tried to figure out how to be Dean again – and Sam had to struggle with watching that and with his own aftermath. Castiel was introduced and was such a mysterious badass addition to the universe. So much to love!

Fave episodes:  I love the meta episodes and pretty much anything Robbie Thompson wrote. The French Mistake, Fan Fiction, Baby… and in more recent times, I loved Red Meat. I also have a soft spot for early episodes like Home, Faith, Everyone Loves a Clown and Born Under A Bad Sign. And of course the pilot, with baby!Dean and baby!Sammy.

What is your fandom superpower?  I think just being in fandom allows you to tap into the collective superpower that is the SPN fandom. But I guess for me it would have to be writing about Supernatural. I’ve had five books on Supernatural published, including Family Don’t End With Blood, which the Supernatural actors actually wrote (and I edited and held their hands through the process). That one is most important to me – and to them – because actors and fans alike shared such real stories, including struggling with depression, anxiety, suicidality, and self esteem. So many people have told me that reading about the challenges faced by Jared, Jensen, Misha, Kim, Briana, Rob… all the actors who wrote chapters… was such an inspiration to them when they also struggled with something. I love that the actors are as proud of the book as I am.

If you have been to an SPN con before, what is your favourite memory? Probably the time I gave the actors copies of my first book, since they had contributed interviews to it. Jensen looked down at it and then gave it right back to me – I had a heart attack, thinking OMG he hates it, he doesn't even want it! Then he looked up and smiled and said he’d autographed lots of things for me, and would I autograph this for him? I have no idea what I wrote, I was so touched.  Second place would be the very first time Jensen sang at a con in the US in Vegas. He walked onto that stage and started belting out Sister Christian like a freaking rockstar and all of us in the audience were literally stunned – afterwards we just stood around hugging each other and going OMG OMG OMG over and over again. I still can’t think about that without grinning.

What does the #SPNfamily mean to you?  Both the fandom and the cast have been such a supportive, wonderful group of people to be immersed in for the past decade. I’ve met some of my closest friends, helped make the world better, been challenged to do things I never thought I’d do, stretched my creativity with the support of the SPNFamily and become braver as a result – and become more myself.

Are you up to date on this season? If so, what are your thoughts? OF COURSE! I’ve liked a lot about this season, especially that we’re really getting to see some significant conversations between the brothers and some expression of emotion from BOTH of them. That’s why I watch the show, for the psychology and emotionality and those relationships, so it’s been wonderful to see.

Are you involved in any other fandoms? If so, what?  Nope. Fandom monogamous. I don’t have time to even watch any other television shows let alone delve into any other fandoms! Oh wait, that’s not entirely true. No other fandoms, but I did enjoy Dirk Gently and The Magicians, and before that Galavant.

Tell us about your book, “Family Don’t End With Blood.” Do you have any plans on working on another SPN book?  Family Don’t End With Blood is a collection of very personal chapters written by fans of the show and by the actors themselves – Jared, Jensen, Misha, Mark, Jim Beaver, Rob Benedict, Kim Rhodes, Briana Buckmaster, Ruth Connell, Rachel Miner, Osric Chau, Matt Cohen and Gil McKinney all wrote chapters about what being on the show and interacting with the fandom has meant to them. In some cases, how it has changed their lives or even saved their lives. The chapters are raw and personal and we love that so many people have said that the book is their ‘go to’ when they’re feeling like it’s hard to keep going.

When did you first start watching Supernatural? September 2017. I am.a newbie to the fandom.

How did you get involved in the fandom that is the #SPNfamily? Twitter and Facebook and Tumblr.

Who are your favourite characters? Claire, Castiel, Crowley, Jack, Charlie…. The list goes on.

What is your favourite episode/season? There is no way I can choose a favorite episode. So many of them are amazing and I really relate to. Favorite season is definitely 5. Though S12 and S13 are coming close.

What is your fandom superpower? I am a fanfiction writer actually. I have written published and unpublished stuff for Supernatural.

If you have been to an SPN con before, what is your favourite memory? I haven't been to a con but I did get a retweet and response from Mark Sheppard that will forever haunt my memory because he was pointing out how I misspelled a word. I am never living that embarrassment down.

What does the #SPNfamily mean to you? It means support and a family that doesn't require blood to support each other.

Are you up to date on this season? If so, what are your thoughts?  I am up to date and I think Wayward Sisters is everything and this season is reviving a show that has gone on for a long time.

When did you first start watching Supernatural? I started watching in 2006 after a friend gave me a loan of the season 1 boxset.  I didn’t have the cable channel it was showing on in the UK so always had to wait for the boxset to come out!

How did you get involved in the fandom that is the #SPNfamily? I didn’t really get involved in the fandom until I decided to attend my first convention in 2015. I joined a few Facebook pages to find out more about the cons and enjoyed interacting with other fans. I then joined discussion pages to read and talk about episodes. By this point, I was able to watch the episodes online so didn’t have to wait for the boxsets anymore!

Who are your favourite characters? Winchesters all the way for me.  I am a Dean girl, always have been and always will be. Aside from the boys, I’d say my favourites are Bobby, Charlie, Meg 2.0 and Donna. However, I also love Ash, Ellen, Jo, Jody and of course Cas!

What is your favourite episode/season? I absolutely love Season 4 and can say that one is my favourite. Fav episodes: Lazarus Rising, Bad Day at Black Rock, French Mistake, Yellow Fever, Changing Channels, Executioners Song, Swan Song, to name but a few! There are loads more!

What is your fandom superpower? Gosh, I’m not very artistic, I guess it would be being able to remember certain quotes or being able to guess the season based on Sam’s hair style!

If you have been to an SPN con before, what is your favourite memory? My first con was Toronto in 2015 and I thought it would be once in a lifetime opportunity. However, I’m all booked up to attend JIB Con this year which will be my 6th con!! That first con was so special as it was a dream come true for me to actually meet Jared and Jensen. I met up with amazing people who had befriended me online, I was travelling abroad on my own for the first time. Meeting Jensen in person was a surreal and emotional experience. I’ve had so many amazing moments since then, but that first time getting a photo with Jensen will always stand out. Every time I have met Jared and Jensen, they make you feel like you are the first person they have seen in line and that they are so glad to see you. It’s just a wonderful experience.

What does the #SPNfamily mean to you? The SPNFamily has affected my life in such a positive way. I would never have imagined that loving a TV show would introduce me to such amazing people who I consider as great friends and who accept me for my true self. Deciding to go to the conventions in Canada and America was a huge step for me and my desire to go and meet these amazing people pushed me out of my comfort zone where I had to travel overseas on my own, reach out to strangers and interact with people.  I am so thankful for everything the SPNFamily has given me and it just brings such joy into my life.

Are you up to date on this season? If so, what are your thoughts? I am up to date and I am loving season 13. To my surprise, I absolutely love Jack. I wasn’t too sure how this was going to pan out at the end of 12, but I think he is a great addition to Team Free Will. I’m loving the relationship between the boys this season and how they are talking and listening to each other.

Are you involved in any other fandoms? If so, what? I’m not involved in any other fandoms and never have been.  I was a huge fan of Buffy the Vampire Slayer but that was before the internet!!

When did you first start watching Supernatural? I started watching way back in 05 until the end of season 3. I stopped watching for a bit and then decided to pick it back up in 2012, and I've been an avid fan since!

How did you get involved in the fandom that is the #SPNfamily? In 2013 I started watching fan videos on YouTube, and came across someone who wrote and sang a bunch of spn songs. I was so in love with those songs, I made a Tumblr account just to keep up with their stuff. It just snowballed from there!

Who are your favourite characters? Castiel is my utmost favourite. After him it's Donna, and the Winchesters of course. I adore Charlie, Jack, and Death(1.0) as well!

What is your favourite episode/season? It's hard to pick just one!! I LOVE 4,5,8, and perhaps 13 just might top all of them.

What is your fandom superpower? I draw, amongst other things, but I think my superpower would have to be converting new people into the fandom. It's inevitable if you spend any time with me, for the conversation to turn to SPN. They either convert or run for the hills.

If you have been to an SPN con before, what is your favourite memory? I've been to 5 so far (by 2017) and I ABSOLUTELY LOVE THEM. If only they weren't so darn pricey! I've met some amazing people. I think my favourite memory is the time my daughter dressed as Castiel and Kathryn Newton and Misha Collins fawned over her and put up pictures of her on their social medias. Misha had me take a picture of them on his phone! That was pretty surreal. Though any interaction with the cast and meeting like minded fans has been quite memorable. I'll always hold Chicon 2014 close to my heart.

What does the #SPNfamily mean to you? Honestly it's everything! I've made life long friendships, and through the show I've experienced so many new things and grew so much as a person through the years. Misha Collins for one had completely changed my view of the world and its possibilities.

We aren't all perfect, but what family is? ;) I think all in all it has been a force for good!

Are you up to date on this season? If so, what are your thoughts? YES! Season 13 has been really impressive! I adore Jack's character and I hope the best for him! I was questioning where they were going by the end of 12, but I'm so happy with this direction. I have a sneaking suspicion that come the season finale it will become my favourite season as I mentioned previously.

Are you involved in any other fandoms? If so, what? To an extent though not as much as spn. I'm into (in no particular order) Harry Potter, LOTR, Firefly, Doctor Who, Lucifer, DC and Marvel, etc... i've attended a lot of Fan Expos, Trek cons, and Anime North (anime cons) in the past. A new up and coming favourite fandom/show is going to be Wayward Sisters I'm sure!

When did you first start watching Supernatural? I started watching in 2009, got caught up during midseason hellatus that year and started watching live in January 2010.

How did you get involved in the fandom that is the #SPNfamily? I’ve had a few friends and family members who were into SPN, but after LOTUS in S12 I was so confused about how I felt about the direction they were going. I started seeking out more people to find new opinions, and found that there were people out there who were discussing the show on an analytical level that I loved. I fell into listening to podcasts, some Facebook groups, etc. I started adding to my #SPNFamily on my personal Twitter account, but hadn’t been very active on Twitter in the past year or so. Then I heard an off-hand comment someone made about how Jack should have a Twitter account, and decided that yes, he SHOULD have a Twitter account. I honestly had no idea that this was a thing people did, that there were RP groups, etc. But my background is in acting and writing, so it just felt natural to me. When I started I was just looking to talk to people and have some fun, but it’s grown and people play along and talk to him, and I couldn’t be happier about it.

Who are your favourite characters? Well, Jack, obviously, but outside the obvious Winchesters there are so many it would take ages to list them all. In twelve and a half seasons there have been very few characters that I really didn’t want the chance to see again on my screen. They’re almost all so well-written and compelling.

What is your favourite episode/season? I have a list of what I would call my top 5, but even that changes often, depending on my mood. But “Don’t Call Me Shurley” is probably my #1. Obviously Eric Kripke is the “God” of our SPN Universe, but for me, Robbie Thompson is a very close second. I really feel like it was a huge loss to the show when he decided to move on (sniffle…)

What is your fandom superpower? Impersonation? Ha! As I said, I’m a writer, and so I have some fan fic that I’m quite proud of (but would give away my Clark Kent identity if I linked it, sadly). I can also debate you on almost any tiny detail on the show. I may need help…

If you have been to an SPN con before, what is your favourite memory? I haven’t yet. I’m going to my first one this year and I am SO excited!

What does the #SPNfamily mean to you? Up until the past few months, I thought I knew. But now I can say that I really didn’t until “Jack” came along. I can be having a horrible day, but the nice things that people say to him, the way they “mother” him, or tease him, or try to teach him things… it’s so uplifting. Sometimes I swear I forget that they’re not actually talking to me!

Are you up to date on this season? If so, what are your thoughts? Definitely! It’s the highlight of my week when a new episode is on! I’m absolutely in love with this season. While there may have been some choices I questioned, I’m content to go along for the ride at this point. And what a ride!

Are you involved in any other fandoms? If so, what? Not much anymore. I was big into a certain music group a few years ago, but honestly, my family would tell you that Supernatural has taken over my life now. But it’s really been my rock during some tough times, and I wouldn’t have it any other way!

When did you first start watching Supernatural? I discover the series in August 2015

How did you get involved in the fandom that is the #SPNfamily? I follow a lot of Facebook page and Twitter accounts.  I collect props from the series (fake firearms, knifes, stuff from Baby’s trunk, screen accurate clothes etc.) so I help other collectors find stuff.

Who are your favourite characters? Baby, Dean, Crowley (I’m not over him yet!)

What is your favourite episode/season? My all time fav episode is S11.4 Baby and my fav season (that one is tough) maybe 3 but I love them all except for 7 (not enough Baby appearance).

What is your fandom superpower? Probably having an entire conversation using Supernatural quotes lol and I’m also quite good to telling which season/episode a pic comes from.

What does the #SPNfamily mean to you? Making great new friends, sharing info or emotions. Got me out of loneliness.

Are you up to date on this season? If so, what are your thoughts? Up to date and I’m mesmerized by the fact that the writers still surprise me.  I just love S13 so far.

Are you involved in any other fandoms? If so, what? Nope only SPN!

When did you first start watching Supernatural? 2009

How did you get involved in the fandom that is the #SPNfamily? When I found out about the conventions in 2017, I started looking on Facebook and found the pages and groups.  It all snowballed from there.

Who are your favourite characters? Dean, Sam, Rowena, Castiel

What is your favourite episode/season? Favorite episode is Heart followed closely by Baby, Regarding Dean, Yellow Fever and Dog Dean Afternoon / Favorite season is hard to narrow down, but if I had to pick one it would have to be season 4.

What is your fandom superpower? I don’t really have one.  I’m still new enough to the fandom that I am just making new friends.

If you have been to an SPN con before, what is your favourite memory? Jacksonville 2018 will be my first con.

What does the #SPNfamily mean to you? So far it has meant a new sense of belonging as well as a new family to share triumphs/struggles with and excitement about this show and the characters we love so much.

Are you up to date on this season? If so, what are your thoughts? Yes, I love this season, for the most part, although the reappearance of one of my least favourite characters (Ketch) has been my least favourite part of this season so far.  I loved last night’s episode (2/1/18) and the feeling it had of older seasons/monster of the week episodes, and I LOVE that Rowena is back.  She is truly one of my favourite characters.  I wasn’t as enthusiastic about a lot of the last couple seasons (I didn’t particular like the Amara storyline nor the Men of Letters storylines), but I am really enjoying this season so far.

Are you involved in any other fandoms? If so, what? No, just Supernatural

When did you first start watching Supernatural? I've been aware of Supernatural since the beginning, but I was only, 11. I started Watching OFFICIALLY during the beginning of season 9 thanks to TNT reruns, Netflix and I have never looked back since. This show has LITERALLY helped me grow as a person and I have learned a lot of new stuff about myself. I'm part of so many different SPN groups and have made so many amazing friends along the way especially, one Facebook group called We Are SPN Family!

How did you get involved in the fandom that is the #SPNfamily? Of course social media, I really wanted to connect with others that have that same fandom love as me it’s exciting to watch these new episodes in real time every week and then share about it afterwards.

Who are your favorite characters? Oh man I LOVE them all. But I think I relate more to Dean, unfortunately I’m only child, but I can relate to that feeling of having to handle stuff on my own, especially watching over my family. I can relate to Sam to because I have this tendency of keeping my emotions to myself, but I also have a rebellious streak at times. But again I can relate to ALL of the characters in one way or another.

What is your favorite episode/season? They are all amazing of course. My choices would be; Bloody Mary, Home, Bad Day At Black Rock, Lazarus Rising, Swan Song, Sacrifice, Baby, Who We Are, Fan Fiction, Advanced Thanatology, Do You Believe In Miracles...I could go on and on.

What is your fandom superpower? When I'm talking with friends or family I can bring up any SPN quote just for that moment. I’m also an avid painter and writer I love writing reviews for the new episodes or other shows, movies books ect.. when I do that I LOVE talking with other fans to dive more into these wonderfully layered characters.

If you have been to an SPN con before, what is your favourite memory? No. I haven’t, but I am going to the Paley Fest panel in March, but I need a Jensen and Jared sandwich hug soon!

What does the #SPNfamily mean to you? #SPNFamily means just has it says FAMILY, dysfunctional one, but at the end of the day we will be there for one another when we need it. The SPNFAMILY is definitely one of those rare fandoms that actually shows love and kindness to not only the actors and crew but each other and I’m blessed to be apart of it.

Are you up to date on this season? If so, what are your thoughts? Yes I am up to date, I like it they’ve hit a lot of different cylinders, especially emotionally with the brothers. I’m loving the myth-arcs to; the AU world and the return of several old characters. My favorite episodes this season again they’ve all been really good: Lost and found, Advanced Thanatology, Tombstone, The Scorpion and The Frog, Breakdown and Various & Sundry Villain…

Are you involved in any other fandoms? If so, what? I was heavily involved in the Jonas Brothers band since 2007 I’ve gone to at least 10 concerts in the Los Angeles area. After they broke up I drifted away, I still listen to their music individually, but then I got involved with the #SPNFamily. Im also am apart of The Walking Dead fandom hopefully a Walker Stalker con is my future because I’ve heard Norman Reedus gives amazing hugs.

When did you first start watching Supernatural? About 2 years ago. Quite a funny story actually.

I go to a second hand store once in while that sells books and DVDs. So when I came in that time, the owner came up to me and said ‘’oh I have this series here and it’s in English so no one wants to buy it, so here you can have it’’ It was the first 6 seasons of Supernatural! I read the back of the covers and thought to myself ‘’Ok I will try it out’’. Little did I know LOL I got hooked right away.

How did you get involved in the fandom that is the #SPNfamily? By an extra on one of the DVDs, they mentioned conventions, and Gishwes. So I got curious and went online to look for more information. Found online friends that where willing to give me more info about the cons and it just rolled from there. ( I went to Purcon and Vancon in 2017)

I also decided to do Gishwhes, even if I would be all by myself, and it was the best decision of my life. I made so many friends, I discovered twitter!!! and all the pocketfriends that lived on there. These friends helped me through a really rough time in December 2016 and through the beginning of 2017. Whenever I was feeling down they would sent me little messages of encouragement, we would have long gif exchanges that would bring a smile to my face or they would send me cards with lovely messages in the mail.

Most importantly: I HAVE NEVER FELT SO LOVED IN MY WHOLE LIFE, and am very very grateful for that. Tears are falling on my face just writing this because my heart overflows.

Who are your favourite characters? Castiel, Donna, Jody, Charlie

What is your favourite episode/season? French Mistake

What is your fandom superpower? SPN brought me back to drawing – so drawing is my superpower.

If you have been to an SPN con before, what is your favourite memory? My best memory would be from Purcon, where I went with my pocket friend Willeke, it was so awesome to spent time together and discover that pocketfriends are real life friends.

Another favorite memory that will stay with me forever is the meet and greets with Briana and Kim what amazing inspiring humble women they are.

And a little fun story from Purcon: Photo ops with Kim where over. And I was checking through my photo ops to see which ones I still had to do and found another one I was supposed to do with Kim. So I ran back in the room and yelled ‘oh Kim I found you between all the boys, and she answered ‘that is usually where you will find me’’ The photographer had already put everything away but the pulled everything out again and it was the bestest of best photo ops. Everytime I look at the picture I smile.

What does the #SPNfamily mean to you? So much, love, kindness, support, encouragement, making me feel loved.

Are you up to date on this season? If so, what are your thoughts? Yes I am and I love it. Finally we have our wayward sisters episodes, and hoping we will get many more of those.

Are you involved in any other fandoms? If so, what? Not really, I really like Sherlock Holmes though (the BBC version)

When did you first start watching Supernatural?: on day 1. I saw commercials for it and couldn’t wait. Spooky stories and brothers! I’m in.

How did you get involved in the fandom that is the #SPNfamily? I’d have to say through fanfiction mostly.  I was an avid reader and writer, so I did a lot of posting on Live Journal and that’s where I met my best friend from far, far away. She was kind enough to let me make some suggestions on a story she was writing, and we’ve been friends ever since. (I’m in California, she’s in Australia)

Later on, when I started writing about the show and going to the conventions, I met up with even more fans!

Who are your favourite characters? I’m a die-hard Dean girl. On the villain side, Crowley slays me with his wry sense of humor.  Favorite episodic character ever - Ronald Resnick from Nightshifter. “It’s a MANDROID!” They wrote him so crazy and yet we loved him and cried when we lost him. That’s great writing.

What is your favourite episode/season? I’m still heavily emotionally attached to the first season. I like the wilder, more immature Dean. The conflict between him and Sam. The simplicity of the cases. The writer side of me goes with Season Two. Here’s where they really found their voice and started experimenting with new ways to tell a story and things got more complex.

Fave episodes: Dead in the Water still knocks me out. What Is and What Should Never Be because it’s so poignant and well acted by Jensen. Monster Movie and Changing Channels because they took a chance and totally embraced a style that was completely different, and it worked.

What is your fandom superpower? Writing fanfiction that gives readers angsty butterfly stomachs.  That and I worked on Ten Inch Hero with Jensen, so I know secrets I can never reveal to anyone.

If you have been to an SPN con before, what is your favourite memory? I’ve been to a few and it’s less of a specific memory than it is feeling. That moment when the boys walk out on stage and the crowd goes wild. It’s electrifying and terrifying and so loud! There’s nothing else like it.

What does the #SPNfamily mean to you? The best fandoms are the ones who create insane homages to the show – like a full list of every piece of clothing the boys have ever worn – while raising 1,000’s of dollars for charity. The SPN fans are a family, because we have our squabbles but they’re always there when another fan needs a laugh, a good cry or a reason to keep on living. To anyone outside the fandom, that will sound overly dramatic, but in here, where it’s warm and cozy, that’s just part of the family business.

I also want to say how fun and amazing it is that the cast and crew are part of the SPNfamily. That’s not usually the case with fandoms and it’s pretty cool.

Are you up to date on this season? If so, what are your thoughts? Okay, here’s where I need to admit that I’m a bad fan girl. I’m way behind on this season because I miss the way the show used to be: Sam and Dean hunting the monster of the week. I miss the days when they were less jaded and it felt like they were actually saving people, not getting more people killed (which has been the case in the last few seasons). As a writer, I understand that characters in modern TV shows need to grow and change. But I still prefer Sam and Dean the way they used to be.

Are you involved in any other fandoms? If so, what? These days, not so much. The last big fandom I was a part of was Buffy the Vampire Slayer with some smaller fandoms sprinkled in. I love TV, but there’s nothing else on right now that triggers that part of me.

Tell us about your book, “Come on In, the Water’s Bloody.” Do you have any plans on working on another SPN book? Before Supernatural, I was a huge fan of Buffy the Vampire Slayer. Through a combination of fate and dogged persistence, I scored a few interviews with the cast and crew of the show and that turned into a gig as a staff writer for the official magazine. All my life, I dreamed of hanging around on the set of my favorite TV show and it finally happened with Buffy. By the time the series ended, I had scored several gigs writing about TV for blogs and entertainment magazines. So when Supernatural arrived on the scene, I had connections both at the networks and with editors who would publish my work.

I used my connections to score a few interviews with crew members and guest stars and eventually the publicity people at Warner Brothers added me to their press list. That meant I was offered interviews and given press credentials for round-table events. Mind you, all of this was early on when the show wasn’t very popular. Then, suddenly, the mainstream media discovered Supernatural and the boys were on the cover of TV Guide, Entertainment Weekly and more.

I’d seen this same thing happen with Buffy, so I wasn’t surprised when the interviews stopped coming my way. And it was fine, because by then, everything the cast and crew had to say they were saying via dozens of conventions a year and interviews with major magazines, including their own official magazine.

So, no, I don’t have plans to work on another Supernatural book. I never planned to do the first one, but I had so much material that had never been seen, publishing the book was just the best way to get it all out there.

What I am working on is a more general book about television and a novel about a former teen idol who is pulled into a 30-year-old murder mystery. My friend Kathy – the one from Australia – has been encouraging me to write a murder mystery set at a fan convention .. . . . I certainly have enough background material, so we’ll see. . . .

Editor’s note: Cynthia’s book can be purchased via Amazon at https://www.amazon.ca/Come-Waters-Bloody-Interviews-Supernatural-ebook/dp/B00KNQ73OC/ref=sr_1_3?s=digital-text&ie=UTF8&qid=1517589484&sr=1-3!

When did you first start watching Supernatural? I started watching years ago but just the reruns I happened to catch on TV.  It wasn’t until last year that I actually watched from the very beginning, all the way through.

How did you get involved in the fandom that is the #SPNfamily? I volunteered at 2 SPN cons last year.  Before the first one, I found some Facebook fan sites and then I found Shopstands.com where they do the charity campaigns and I was totally sucked in.  It makes me tear up thinking about how much good the actors and fans do.

Who are your favourite characters? Of course the usual suspects (I’m a Sam girl). I also really like Chuck/God, Gabriel, Death, Garth, lol.

What is your favourite episode/season?  Oh gosh, too many. French Mistake, Lazarus Rising, Fan Fiction, Bad Day at Black Rock, Don’t Call Me Shurley. I know I’m missing some. I guess season 4 if I have to pick one.

What is your fandom superpower? Picking out actors that they use in previous seasons. I made a list once and they reused 50 actors from season 1 in future seasons.  Super good at quoting lines as well!

If you have been to an SPN con before, what is your favourite memory? I volunteered at Pitt and NJ last year. I worked the photo op ticket exchange.  I think the best memories were just seeing the excitement on the attendees faces.  Like omg I have an op with Jared or Misha or JDM.  And it was my first time getting photos with all the guys so that was pretty awesome as well.

What does the #SPNfamily mean to you? It’s my second family. It’s where I can be weird. Where I can wear a shirt that says to hell and back. Where I can help those in need or just having a rough time in their lives.

Are you up to date on this season? If so, what are your thoughts? I’m getting ready to watch the latest episode soon! I’m digging the girl power in the past few eps.

Are you involved in any other fandoms? If so, what? I’m also a Walking Dead fan and I enjoy going to (and volunteering at) the Walker Stalker cons. Although nothing compares to Supernatural.  :)

When did you first start watching Supernatural? 2005. From the pilot.

How did you get involved in the fandom that is the #SPNfamily? Went to one fan convention but didn’t fit in. I use the website “Previously TV” to interact with other SPN fans.

Who are your favourite characters? Dean Winchester but I also love Sam, Bobby, Cas, Crowley and more.

What is your favourite episode/season? Point of No Return, Lazarus Rising, Tall Tales, Mystery Spot; Season 4.

What is your fandom superpower? I know a lot of SPN trivia and know almost all the episodes.

If you have been to an SPN con before, what is your favourite memory? Yes, I’ve been up one. Favourite memory is seeing Jensen Ackles.

What does the #SPNfamily mean to you? SPN family are people I can talk to about my favourite show over the Internet.

Are you up to date on this season? If so, what are your thoughts? Yes, up to date on season 13. It’s pretty good, better than last year but not as good as previous seasons. The Wayward Sisters is a little disappointing to me as there are no men in the show and I don’t think they’ll use classic rock which I love.

Are you involved in any other fandoms? If so, what? Not involved in any other fandoms.

When did you first start watching Supernatural? March 2017. I had been devoted to the show “Bones” and was upset about it ending… I needed a new TV family! Because I work nights, “Supernatural” on TNT weekday mornings was the next best bet. Plus, my niece and other friends said I would love it. BOY, they didn’t know how right they were.

How did you get involved in the fandom that is the #SPNfamily? All the while I was catching up with the show, I felt I had to avoid all contact with fans online because I didn’t want to see any spoilers. I had a LOT to catch up on!

But during the summer (2017), I finished up Season 12 and was ready to experience Season 13 in real time as part of the community! I “liked” all the fan pages I could on Facebook, and joined the truly excellent Carry On! Discussion Group, run by the amazing Taya Hill and Julie Chapa. I made so many fast friends there who were really into discussing the show -- deeply and seriously -- and I was hooked.

And then I took the ultimate swan dive: I joined Twitter, which I was up to that point *completely and totally* against… LOL. It’s been fun, though, because I’ve been very selective in the accounts I follow (many Dean-centric, obviously!).

Who are your favourite characters? Yes, I identify most with Dean -- especially his sort of pathological selflessness. He. Is. Not. Fine. From the first moment of Season 1, I wanted to comfort this deeply, deeply hurt guy. Jensen is the most amazing actor I’ve ever seen. He brings Dean to life with looks, smiles, that rubber face of his. It’s incredible. Outside of my love for Dean, Sam and Cas, I’d say the thing that sets me apart is how much I love Metatron. Robbie Thompson is my favorite of the series writers, and Curtis Armstrong just blows the doors off every scene he’s in. Metatron, the Scribe… patron angel of editors! I loved to hate him, and then I just flat-out loved him.

What is your favourite episode/season? To me, Season 4, start to finish, can’t be topped. Every moment is absolutely *pregnant* with important character and mythology development, and the finale cliffhanger is perfection.

While I’m not a shipper, per se, I have a very special affinity for the Dean-Cas relationship, and so “Goodbye Stranger” is my favorite episode of all. (There’s Robbie again.) The anguish of Dean and Cas in that final sequence in Lucifer’s crypts is basically the ultimate expression of everything I love about the show.

What is your fandom superpower? THINKY-THOUGHTS! My pastime is finding the threads and connections from one ep or one season to another. PARALLELS. If they’re there, I’ll spot ‘em. Hell, I’ll spot ‘em even if they’re not there.

If you have been to an SPN con before, what is your favourite memory? I have not been to a con, but I’m hopeful. I’m inspired by the stories of older fans (like me)  with commitments and responsibilities to work and family who have nevertheless convinced themselves to go and spend the money to get their squee. I hope to get up the courage (and cash) one day.

What does the #SPNfamily mean to you? I love the emotional support that fans give each other, based upon nothing really but a common love of the show. It’s like a special language we all share, but we don’t hoard the good feelings like a clique. It’s very open and welcoming, and I’m convinced that comes from all the way at the top down. We radiate the love we see that J2 and Misha, and all the cast and crew, have for each other. They epitomize respect and caring.

Are you up to date on this season? If so, what are your thoughts? I am up to date on Season 13, and I confess I have some unease about it… it’s me looking for the threads again. I can’t tell what the bigger picture is, and so it makes me… well, uneasy is the best word I can come up with! I want to know that it’ll all make sense in the end. Dean’s behavior has been desperate at turns, and sometimes seems out of character to those of us that love him. I want to see where that leads. And I’m starting to realize how Sam has been hanging by a thread from the very beginning of S13. I’m scared for him as well. I have enjoyed the introductions of Patience and Kaia, and I loved Wayward Sisters. I’m still a little mad at the writers for emotionally eviscerating poor Donna and Doug, though! LOL

Are you involved in any other fandoms? If so, what? I have always been a sci-fi and horror fan, but never part of a fandom like this! I cut my teeth on Star Trek, Star Wars, Firefly and the oh-so-very underrated TV series Max Headroom, with Amanda Pays and Matt Frewer. That show was eons ahead of its time!

When did you first start watching Supernatural? - 2010-ish, I think.

How did you get involved in the fandom that is the #SPNfamily? I have been a lurker enjoying the fic, gifs, meta and other fan content in the SPN fandom for years. I have been actively involved in the fandom for only a few months, and it’s the proposed spin-off that made me do it. I wanted to use my voice to support Wayward Sisters.

Who are your favourite characters? My favorites are Sam, Castiel, Dean, Charlie, Crowley, Claire, Rowena, Bobby, the Banes twins, and pretty much everyone else.

What is your favourite episode/season? Lazarus Rising, the first episode of S4 is my favorite, and I maintain it is the best SPN ep ever. My favorite seasons are S4, S5, S11.

What is your fandom superpower? My only fandom superpower is talking in SPN gifs.

What does the #SPNfamily mean to you? The creativity, vibrancy and passion of the SPNFamily have made many a dark hour bearable for me, so I guess it is a sanctuary.

Are you up to date on this season? If so, what are your thoughts? Yes, up to date on S13. This season is a big improvement on the previous one. Jack, the new character introduced in this season, is the best thing SPN has done in a long time. S13 has also addressed some psychological issues the characters have, and that’s good.

Are you involved in any other fandoms? If so, what? I have been involved in many fandoms over the years. The Psych fandom is one of my loves.

When did you first start watching Supernatural? Last summer. Of course I knew what Supernatural was, and followed J2 on twitter/instagram for a while, but the number of seasons kind of scared me. Last summer, I was going through a dark time and needed something consequent to keep me busy...And the rest is history. My life changed that day. There's a then and a now, and the now is a million times better and happier.

How did you get involved in the fandom that is the #SPNfamily?: I was very shy and it's the family who found me. I got really sick at the end of the year, and in my weakest moments, the fandom spontaneously surrounded me with the most amazing care and love I could possibly dream of getting. I gained many, many, many friends, and my #SPNFamily is the one and only place in the world where I'm free to be myself and won't be judged. It's an extraordinary feeling.

Who are your favourite characters? I love them all to the moon and back, but I found so much of myself in Sam, it was eerie at times. Everything he is or represents is either something I am or aspire to be. He was my example and my inspiration to fight off my own demons, and he got me out of my own hellhole. His courage, his resilience, his faith, his brain, and his infinite kindness moved me to my core. Sam Winchester is my fictional soul mate. No other character can or will ever make me feel something so strong and so beautiful. I love him more than I thought possible to love a fictional character.

What is your favourite episode/season? I'll forever be a Season 8 girl, and, generally, even if I adore season 1-7, something just connected with me on a much deeper level from season 8 on. I just love the mythology, and how things got a lot bigger and bolder all at once, and all the beautiful storylines that were born on the most recent seasons moved me in a completely new level. As for my favorite episodes, it's a tie between Sacrifice, Baby, Swan Song, Advanced Thanatology and Who We Are, but if I had to pick one, I'd go for Sacrifice. The episode broke me down and I cried for hours afterwards. It just resonated with every fiber of my being, and everything was so raw and true and honest. I'll never get over the beauty of that episode.

What is your fandom superpower? I can go from regular adult to fully fledged fangirl in 3.147 seconds. I'm an author, so I'm currently writing my first meta-ish Supernatural fanfiction.

If you have been to an SPN con before, what is your favourite memory? Not yet, but I'm going to Birmingham in a few weeks, and I'm crossing the pond for Vancouver in October. To say that I'm excited doesn't even begin to cover it. I. Am. Dizzy. With. Joy.

What does the #SPNfamily mean to you? Everything. It's everything. The best of friends, the most interesting people, and a collection of brothers and sisters I would never have gotten IRL. During my recovery, they were here every step of the way and they celebrated every little victories with me. I know that if anything happens, they are one message away. One of my fondest memories was when I had to undergo heavy surgery, they sent me dozens of messages, and I had 32 to read when I woke up. People who barely knew me but wished me well nonetheless. It's a nuclear reactor of kindness, love, care and acceptance.

Are you up to date on this season? If so, what are your thoughts? Ooooh yes, I've seen each episode at least three times. And I love it. I fell in love with Jack instantly, and I really care for the character, and there were some extremely uplifting scenes, and some very emotional ones that I have loved immensely. I'm thrilled about everything, I worry and care about everyone, and the storylines are just so good. I LOVE this season. The premiere was probably my favorite one of the whole show, and Advanced Thanatology became an instant classic of mine. Billie's new role and the outlines of that big mythology line we're yet to explore had me on the edge of my seat. I'm also very excited for Wayward Sisters, I love those characters dearly and I'm thrilled about the direction it's taking. And I'm so excited for what's to come. Oh, and I can't wait for ScoobyNatural. My inner child is running wild with joy.

Are you involved in any other fandoms? If so, what? I'm a pretty big Muse fan, the english rock band, and have been for 12 years now. I've seen them 38 times around Europe, and they are and will forever be a part of my soul, even if I'm drifting away a little, lately, mainly because I've thrown myself entirely into Supernatural. It's not really a sad thing, it's just about moving on when you find new interests and love. I have been involved in the Arrow fandom for a while, too, and went to a convention a couple of years ago. I suspect Stephen's hugs are about to get a run for their money...
